Bambang PWD Association, Inc. A society where Persons with Disabilities can be considered productive citizens.

is a Non-Stock, Non-Profit, SEC-Registered association of Persons with Disabilities aiming to uplift the wellbeing of PWDs and their Families/ Guardians.



(AKKAPP PWD Bambang) was founded on December 07, 20219, with the aim of uplifting the well-being of people with Disabilities and promoting awareness about the sector. The association c

onducted and facilitated various programs and events through private and government sponsorship and support. In 2017, the group was officially registered with the Security and Exchange Commission (Philippines) as Bambang PWD Association, Inc. as a Non-Stock, Non-Profit Organization.

VISION:

To create a society where Persons with Disabilities and their support group (families and guardians) are more empowered and included in all facets and strata of the society wherein they become more visible with lesser barriers and can participate and integrate in their community. The group also envisions itself as becoming a go-to and reliable source of information and data for those who aim to become partners in awareness and uplifting the well-being of the sector. Furthermore, the association envisions itself leading the sector in achieving much grander macrocosmic visions like but not limited to Incheon Strategy to ‘Make the Right Real’ for Persons with Disabilities in Asia and the Pacific; AmBisyon Natin 2040; Sustainable Development Goals.

MISSION:
The mission of the group is as follows:
- To uplift the well-being of Persons with Disabilities in the community/ society
- To integrate persons with disabilities into the mainstream society
- To involve Persons with Disabilities in social activities and societal progress
- To reduce dependency of persons with disabilities by making them self-sufficient and self-reliant and by empowering their support system (Families and Guardians)
- To create reliable data to have more targeted and appropriate programs and approaches for PWDs

Ito ay programa ng The Commission on Human Rights, through the Office of Commissioner Maria Amifaith S. Fider-Reyes, at ng House of Representatives, through the Special Committee on Persons with Disabilities.

Ang Bambang PWD Association, Inc. ay naimbitahan ni Ginoong Abner Manlapaz na dumalo sa "Rights-Based Approach to Bill Drafting Seminar-Workshop". Ang dumalo mula sa grupo ay si Vice President Eudocia "Babes" Jordan.

Ang mga ganitong workshop-seminar ay mahalaga upang mapalakas ang sektor sa pagbibigay sa kanila ng kaalaman sa pagbuo at pagbalangkas ng mga batas. Ito ay upang mas maayos na maisulong ang mga adbokasiya. Ang samahan ay nakikiisa sa layunin na magsulong ng Rights-Based Model kung saan ay mas pinapahalagahan ang mga karapatan ng mga indibidwal at hindi lamang makita ang mga Persons with Disabilities na mga objects of charity o hindi lamang Medical Model. Ito ay magsisimula sa pag-unawa sa proseso ng pagbuo ng mga batas.

Ang grupo ay nagpapasalamat sa oportunidad na ito upang mas maisulong natin ang tunay at Rights-Based na mga pagbabago sa ating lugar. Isulong ang tunay na adbokasiya na tapat, sinsero, at nararapat para sa mga taong may kapansanan. Ito ay sa pamamagitan ng pag-equip sa ating mga leaders na maaari nilang ibahagi o magamit sa ating sektor sa ating komunidad.
