CAMELEON Association Inc. Philippines

CAMELEON Association Inc. Philippines CAMELEON Association Inc is a non-profit organization working for the protection & healing of young girl survivors of sexual abuse in Western Visayas.

The association also provides educational & livelihood support to disadvantaged youth and their families Founded by a French national in 1997, CAMELEON Association Inc. have 23 years of experience in providing interventions to young girl survivors of sexual abuse, aged 5-17 years old, from various localities in Western Visayas. The association has 3 centers: 2 in Passi City, Iloilo and one in Sila

y City, Negros Occidental. The centers aim to provide a safe and therapeutic environment for the girls that will strengthen and heal them from traumatic experiences. CAMELEON provides a holistic intervention program to address and reduce trauma, enhance coping and resilience, maximize and develop the girls’ unique potentials, and regain their dignity and self-esteem. While the Rehabilitation Program is its core, CAMELEON also runs two other programs: Community Development and Advocacy. Through the Community Development Program, the association provides educational and livelihood support to 300 disadvantaged but deserving youths and their families. They also undergo development trainings to shape them to become actors of change in their respective communities, who help the association in creating child-friendly communities free of child sexual abuse. The Advocacy Program runs information campaigns to raise awareness and educate the public on child sexual abuse and ultimately, to prevent the proliferation of such crime. The program lobbies in the local and national legislative committees to advocate for child protection laws and policies. Two youth organizations, Voice of CAMELEON's Children (VCC) and CAMELEON Youth Health Advocates (CYHA), actively advocate and raise awareness on children's rights and youth reproductive health in the communities through lectures and workshops. Together these 3 programs work together to bring change to the communities and vulnerable children through prevention (Advocacy Program), healing (Rehabilitation Program) and building (Community Development Program).

This month, CAMELEON warmly welcomed several individual sponsors from France, Japan, and China who visited the organization in both Passi and Silay to personally meet their sponsored children. These meaningful encounters truly reflected the heart of CAMELEON’s Sponsorship Program, a bond built on trust, solidarity, and shared hope for a brighter future.

Beyond financial support, sponsorship represents a genuine commitment to walk alongside a child or q youth through life’s challenges, offering encouragement, protection, education, and opportunities that nurture healing, empowerment and growth.

For many of the children and youth, meeting their sponsors serves as a powerful reminder that they are seen, valued, and supported by people who believe in their potential. These moments strengthen connections that transcend distance, culture, and language, creating relationships rooted in compassion and human dignity.

CAMELEON extends its deepest gratitude to all individual sponsors who continue to journey with us in empowering survivors and disadvantaged youth toward recovery, transformation, and leadership.

Your unwavering support continues to open doors for them to reclaim their dreams and build lives filled with purpose, confidence, and hope.

On behalf of the CAMELEON Family, thank you so much.

Three days and two nights of connection, renewal, and collective strength marked a meaningful gathering of the Cirquera de CAMELEON girls (CDC) in Isla Gigantes, Carles. The team came together not to perform, but to reconnect with what truly sustains their art and efforts: unity, well-being, and a shared sense of purpose.

Through structured activities, restorative rest, and intentional spaces for reflection, the experience nurtured physical, mental, and emotional well-being; strengthened trust and cooperation; encouraged safe expression; and reaffirmed the values of leadership, discipline, and solidarity that guide CDC.

More than a team-building activity, it became a grounding reminder that when we take care of one another, we grow stronger together.

Cirquera de CAMELEON continues to move forward as one, anchored in purpose, strengthened by solidarity, and sustained by collective resilience.

The gathering reflected CAMELEON’s commitment to fostering empowerment and creating meaningful restorative spaces through quality programs that support personal growth and collective care.

Success Story | From Determination to Distinction ✨

CAMELEON proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of Engineer Ismael Allado Jr., a Community Development partner-beneficiary for six years, who has earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, graduating Cum Laude.

Today, he reaches another milestone, successfully passing the April 2026 Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) Licensure Examination and becoming a Certified Safety Officer 2 (SO2).

More than academic excellence, Ismael’s journey is a powerful testament to perseverance, resilience, and the transformative impact of meaningful support.

He shares:
“CAMELEON’s support was not just a financial safety net, it was a reminder that someone believed in me, especially during the most challenging moments of my studies. Because of your support and generosity, I am stepping into the workforce not just with a degree, but with the tools and confidence to make a real difference in the engineering field.
As I begin my career, I carry with me the values of excellence and safety that you’ve helped me cultivate. I am eager to give back to our community and hope to one day pay this kindness forward to other aspiring professionals. Thank you for believing in me and for being the helping hand that made this dream possible.”

At CAMELEON, we remain committed to delivering quality programs that go beyond access to education. We empower the youth with life skills, strong values, and opportunities to become independent individuals and active agents of change in their communities.

Congratulations, Engineer Ismael! Your journey inspires us all.

Empowering the Next Generation of Changemakers ✨

On April 11–12, 2026, CAMELEON brought together our Cirquera de CAMELEON girls and Youth Advocates for a meaningful two-day Leadership and Psychological First Aid Training.

Rooted in our commitment to child protection and community empowerment, this initiative strengthened young leaders as true agents of change, equipping them with essential knowledge, practical skills, and the confidence to help build safer, more resilient communities.

Guided by Sir Reymund Paclibar, LPT, and Ms. Lean Marie Martinez, RPm, participants deepened their understanding of leadership and learned how to respond with empathy, care, and responsibility in times of crisis.

Beyond the training sessions, the experience also created space for genuine connection. A bonfire fellowship brought everyone together in a spirit of gratitude and solidarity, where stories were shared and bonds were strengthened—laying the foundation for lasting collaboration in the protection of children.

At CAMELEON, we believe that empowered youth can shape a better future. We remain committed to walking alongside them, nurturing their growth as advocates, leaders, and protectors of every child’s right to be safe.

The future is in their hands. And together, we rise.

Courage is not only remembered, it is lived.

In celebration of Araw ng Kagitingan, the Cirquera de CAMELEON and Youth Advocates led a meaningful initiative, creating a safe and empowering space for expression and awareness.

On April 9, 2026, in partnership with the LGU of Estancia through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, a Social Circus activity was held, bringing together circus arts and advocacy on one powerful platform.

Through movement, creativity, and collective action, participants raised awareness on children’s rights and reproductive health education, transforming these into meaningful dialogue, learning, and community engagement.

At CAMELEON, we stand alongside the youth as they use their voices, talents, and lived experiences to lead change, building communities that are informed, resilient, and committed to protecting every child.

Our heartfelt thanks to the Municipality of Estancia, headed by Hon. Bianca Requinto, as well as Sir Rene and Sir Argie, for their support and collaboration.

Protecting children begins with informed communities.

On March 25, CAMELEON’s Advocacy Program brought together 26 local duty bearers, PTA officers, teachers, and school staff from Lantawan Integrated School for a meaningful learning session on child protection. The discussion strengthened awareness on children’s rights, including the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), and provided essential orientation on Child Sexual Abuse (CSA), as well as key laws such as RA 11648 (Increasing the Age of Sexual Consent) and RA 11930 (Anti-OSAEC & CSAEM Act).

By fostering these conversations, we continue to equip those on the frontlines with the knowledge, vigilance, and responsibility needed to protect children.

On the same day, CAMELEON also met with the Schools Division Office in Silay City to explore long-term collaboration and the institutionalization of stronger school-based child protection policies.

Together, we are building safer environments where every child is protected, heard, and valued.
