📍Apparent disabilities – mga disability nga makita o dali mailhan, sama sa paggamit og wheelchair, tungkod, prosthesis, o adunay physical impairment.
📍Non-apparent disabilities – mga disability nga dili dayon makita sa gawas, sama sa certain intellectual, developmental, learning, neurological, o psychosocial disabilities.

Ang disability dili kanunay makita sa atong mga mata—mao nga importante ang understanding, empathy, ug inclusivity. 🤝

The Local government unit of Plaridel through Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), in collaboration with Child Development Workers (CDWs), participated in the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Integration Program for Child Development Teachers and Workers 6 days training.

The training was undertaken to enhance the competencies, knowledge, and professional capacity of ECCD service providers in the effective implementation and delivery of quality, responsive, and developmentally appropriate early childhood care and development services to children in our community.

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Plaridel, through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), successfully conducted the distribution of the Solo Parent Cash Subsidy to qualified beneficiaries pursuant to the provisions of Republic Act No. 11861, otherwise known as the Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act.

The program aims to provide financial assistance to eligible solo parents to help alleviate the economic challenges associated with raising their children and managing their households independently.

During the payout, each qualified beneficiary received a total cash assistance of ₱6,000.00, representing the subsidy for the period of January to June 2026. The distribution was carried out in an organized and transparent manner to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries received their assistance efficiently and in accordance with the program guidelines.

The implementation of this program demonstrates the LGU's continuing commitment to promoting the welfare of solo parents by providing timely financial support that contributes to their family's daily needs, children's education, health, and overall well-being.

Through initiatives such as this, the LGU remains steadfast in strengthening social protection programs and improving the quality of life of vulnerable sectors in the municipality.

In celebration of the National Anti-Trafficking in Persons Awareness Month (NATAM)and the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons (WDATIP) this July 2026, with the theme "Iisang Nasyon, Iisang Aksyon: Tapusin ang Human Trafficking Ngayon,” The Local Government Unit of Plaridel, Misamis Occidental, through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), proudly joins the nationwide advocacy campaign and expresses its full support for this significant observance. In solidarity with the national government's efforts to combat trafficking in persons, the LGU actively participates in advocacy initiatives that promote public awareness, strengthen community vigilance, and encourage collective action to prevent trafficking, protect vulnerable individuals, prosecute offenders, and foster partnerships among government agencies, civil society organizations, and the community.
