The Local Government Unit of Anahawan informs the public that, pursuant to Office Order No. 2026-018, the LGU will adopt Energy Conservation Protocols and a Flexible Work Arrangement as part of efforts to support the national government's energy-saving initiatives.

Effective March 9, 2026, LGU offices will implement a four (4)-day onsite work schedule from Monday to Thursday, 7:00 A.M. โ€“ 12:00 Noon and 1:00 P.M. โ€“ 6:00 P.M.

This measure aims to reduce electricity and fuel consumption while ensuring that essential government services remain fully operational for the public.

We ask for the understanding and cooperation of everyone as we continue to promote responsible and efficient use of energy.

This meaningful activity highlights the municipalityโ€™s continued commitment to promoting fire safety awareness while recognizing and empowering women in our community.

The parade symbolized unity, cooperation, and shared responsibility among our local agencies in ensuring public safety, preparedness, and gender inclusivity. Through initiatives like this, the municipality strengthens its advocacy for disaster resilience and women empowerment.

At around 12:30 AM today, an incident involving a Bachelor Bus occurred in Brgy. Catwing, Hinundayan.

At approximately 8:00 AM, responders from the Anahawan Emergency Response Unit (AERU) proceeded to the area to conduct assessment and provide the necessary assistance.

Upon receiving the report, Hon. Alfredo N. Luna Jr. immediately ensured the support from the Local Government Unit of Anahawan was mobilized. Mayor personally went to the site together with Mr. Elnoel Edera, Head of the MDRRMO and AERU, to closely monitor the situation and oversee the response operations.

In coordination with the Hinundayan Emergency Response Unit (HERU), and upon their request for assistance, Mayor dispatched LGU service vehicles and equipment to support the recovery operations and help safely extricate the bus from its position.

Through the collaborative efforts of AERU, HERU, LGU Anahawan and other concerned agencies, the situation was properly managed and addressed.

We commend all responders and local officials for their swift action, strong coordination, and commitment to public safety.

The activity was conducted in line with the implementation of the ๐–๐š๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐  ๐†๐ฎ๐ญ๐จ๐ฆ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ฆ, a flagship initiative of DSWD that aims to reduce involuntary hunger and strengthen food security among vulnerable households in the community.
