LOOK: Municipality of Malungon Holds First-Ever Orientation/Training for Solemnizing Officers
The Municipality of Malungon successfully conducted its First-Ever Orientation/Training for Solemnizing Officers on March 26, 2026, at Sky Nature Park, Malungon, Sarangani. This milestone activity was organized under the leadership of Hon. Reynaldo F. Constantino, Municipal Mayor, and facilitated through the Office of the Municipal Civil Registrar, headed by Ms. Arlyne J. Guilley-del Rosario, Municipal Civil Registrar.
The program gathered solemnizing officers from various barangays to enhance their knowledge, understanding, and competence in performing their duties in accordance with existing laws, rules, and regulations governing civil registration and marriage solemnization.
The highlight of the training was the lecture delivered by Mr. Hasanal Fakri M. Ismael, Assistant Statistician of RSSO XII. He provided comprehensive discussions on the legal framework of marriage, the roles and responsibilities of solemnizing officers, proper accomplishment of marriage certificates, and common issues encountered in civil registration. His expertise and insights greatly contributed to the participants’ deeper understanding of their functions and responsibilities.
Participants actively engaged in the discussions, raising relevant questions and sharing experiences, which enriched the overall learning process. The interactive nature of the training fostered collaboration and strengthened coordination between solemnizing officers and the Municipal Civil Registrar’s Office.
Overall, the orientation and training were successfully conducted, equipping solemnizing officers with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively carry out their duties.
