There were times when the future felt beyond our control.
These halls, quite unfamiliar.
Those names, just strangers.
The time, so slow.

But somewhere between the nearing deadlines, last-minute submissions, early consultations, and quiet reflections right after that bell at the end of the day, this place became not just any home, but your home.

Those moments have brought you to where you are now; standing at the edge of something new.

Not quite “goodbye.”
Not entirely “see you tomorrow.”

For even as the campus grows silent without your chatter, footsteps, and laughter, a part of you will always remain in these classrooms, your second home, these fleeting days painted up the hill in Loyola skies.

ASHS Batch 2026, thank you for growing here.
Thank you for offering your time and dedication in the communities you built, the friendships you carried, and the moments that will endure beyond your stay on this campus.

The road in front of you may be obscure, but if your time here taught you anything, may it let you remember this. Always remember to walk forward with courage to carry others with you, and to continue becoming persons-for-and-with others wherever the wind on this hill drifts you next.

Here’s to every beginning that emerges from this ending.

Bigyang pagpupugay ang nagtatahan, ang ilaw ng tahanan. 💖🏠

Today, May 10, 2026, we celebrate the lights that make our lives bright. Mother's Day reminds us to give space and pause to remember the silent sacrifice that our mothers make. We honor not just the tender love and motherly care they give us, but their resilience and strength to make choices for all of us day by day.

We also honor the women who continue to support us under their wings—grandmothers, aunts, sisters, teachers, and others who share in the task of raising a community.

At last, ASHS! 🦅

From sunset farewells to sunrise beginnings ☀️⛅️.

Our journey together is now over. As the school year comes to an end, we say farewell to our beloved seniors🎓 — we extend our heartfelt thank yous for the memories, leadership, and the legacy they leave behind.

This summer highlights an important journey for Batch 2027, as they step forward as the next seniors, and begin their challenging preparation for their College Entrance Tests📝—a path that requires patience, commitment, and resilience.

As one chapter ends, another begins. We extend our warmest welcome to Batch 2028, the first strandless batch of the Senior High🏫, readying to create their own path and embrace new opportunities💡.

From endings to beginnings, may we carry forward the lessons left behind and the brightness the future has to offer for all of us 💙.

[Labor Day 2026]

In 1903, the Union Obrera Democratica de Filipinas, the first trade union federation in the Philippines, staged a 10,000-strong rally throughout Manila. In this demonstration, they vigilantly demanded that the American colonial government pave the way not just for fairer wages and better working conditions, but for Philippine independence. This demonstration marked the first Labor Day in the country.

Labor Day is a day to celebrate and appreciate the effort of all workers who keep our world moving: laborers, farmers, drivers, teachers, doctors, and many others who provide us with products and services that we use daily. This day also serves as a testament to the power and true value of labor anchored to the inherent dignity and worth of the worker.

Labor is an important aspect of all societies, and in the Philippines, workers from all over the nation experience pressures and crises that make life difficult. Large numbers of rural farmers and fisherfolk experience displacement by large corporations, and many urban workers find themselves stuck between low wages and high prices.

Now, more than ever, we must recognize the importance of labor. As Ateneans, we are called to find God in the work and effort workers exert to keep our country moving. As we prepare ourselves towards becoming part of the workforce, whichever step of the ladder we may be at, let us always find God in the goodness of work—not just in its fruits that He has blessed, but in the inherent dignity of the human person made real in the talent and passion each worker uses every day.

To hope is one thing, to pioneer change is another. 🪷

Leadership often starts with hope—the desire to spark change within. ✨ Hiraya ng Bayan perfectly paints this picture of hope up, with such a phrase directly translating to ‘the nation’s hope.’ Throughout history, a certain spark of hope remained to constantly shine through the society—with every shimmer bolder and better than ever.

This March, we recognize the courage ⭐️, resilience 💪🏻 ,and determination 🔏 of the women who acted on and inspired change. We honor those who proved themselves capable of beating the label inflicted by prejudice by defying oppressive social structures and pioneering a shift from a hierarchical society to one that presents an equal and just opportunity for all. More than being dated stories in textbooks, stories of women in leadership remain a firm testament of women’s capability to lead; creating a pathway towards leading in light and service. 💡

Women deserve to be celebrated—not just during the month of March, but in everyday settings where they choose to be pioneers of hope to everyone around them—may it be through their skills 🧩, care 🫂, or love ❤️‍🩹 offered.

To hope is one thing; being the hope is another. Mabuhay ang mga hiraya ng bayan, mabuhay ang mga kababaihan. 💜
