For a farmer cooperative, a vehicle may appear to be a simple piece of equipment. But for the Epiphany Multipurpose Cooperative and the Upper Forest Region Agrarian Reform Cooperative (UFRARCO), two Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organizations (ARBOs) in Isabela, the multicabs they recently received represent much more than transportation.

The Department of Agrarian Reform Municipal Office (DARMO) of Quezon, Isabela conducts Barangay Agrarian Reform Committee (BARC) Orientations in Barangays Abut and Arellano on May 21 and May 26, 2026, to strengthen grassroots participation and support the effective implementation of agrarian reform programs.

The activity is facilitated by MARPO Marvi Turingan-Bulan, SARPT Emielou L. Leal, and ARPO I/Development Facilitator Marco A. Bruno, with the participation of barangay officials, farmer-beneficiaries, and other stakeholders.

During the orientation, Development Facilitator Bruno discusses the functions and responsibilities of the BARC, particularly its role in assisting the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in the identification and screening of Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs), mediation of agrarian-related concerns, and monitoring of agrarian reform implementation at the barangay level.

An election of officers is also conducted in both barangays. Rodrigo C. Orani and Darwin J. Alejos are elected as Chairmen of Barangays Abut and Arellano, respectively.

Certificates of Appreciation are likewise awarded to outgoing BARC Chairmen Reynaldo Rodico and Elias Basabica for their contributions in advancing agrarian reform programs in their communities. (Analyn D. Villanueva)

[Happened Earlier] DARMO Quezon Personnel together with Redocumentation Completion Team (RCT) 3 and RC Tollo Surveying Services successfully conducted the SPLIT Survey Activity in San Juan, Quezon, Isabela.

The Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officer (MARPO), Marvi Turingan Bulan, attended the quarterly meeting of the Municipal Cooperative Development Council. During the session, she presented an overview of the three core mandates and functions of the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR): Land Tenure Improvement (LTI), Agrarian Justice Delivery (AJD), and the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Development and Sustainability Program (ARBDSP).

She particularly highlighted the key components of ARBDSP, namely: Social Infrastructure Building (SIB), Enterprise Development and Economic Support (EDES), and the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support (CRFPS) project. She emphasized that these programs are strategically designed to strengthen Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries’ Organizations (ARBOs) and improve the socio-economic conditions of Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs).

Furthermore, she encouraged all cooperatives present to coordinate with and visit the Municipal Agrarian Reform Office (MARO) for possible accreditation and to avail of the various support services offered by the Department.
