The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)–Quezon successfully conducted its 2nd Business Counselors’ Meeting on September 3, 2026 (Thursday) at the DTI–Quezon Provincial Office Conference Room.
The meeting brought together the Negosyo Center Business Counselors from the different districts of Quezon to discuss important updates, accomplishments, concerns, and strategies to further strengthen the delivery of services to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and other potential entrepreneurs.
The activity opened with a message from Provincial Director Julieta L. Tadiosa, CESO IV, who emphasized the importance of collaboration, commitment, and continuous improvement in achieving the goals and targets of the Negosyo Center Program.
Among the key highlights of the meeting were the District Highlights from January to August 2026, NC-PMO insights and feedback sharing, AFMU updates, standard templates for Business Counselors, and the District Catch-Up Plans for Q3–Q4 2026. The Business Counselors also discussed their respective target accomplishments and action strategies to ensure the achievement of their remaining targets for the year.
The meeting also featured the presentation and sharing of special projects from various Negosyo Centers, highlighting initiatives and best practices that contribute to the continued support and development of MSMEs in their respective areas.
A Performance Governance System (PGS) Refresher and Designation Updates were also discussed by Division Chief Anna Marie V. Quincina, who guided the proper components of the PGS, the initiatives and information that need to be reflected, and strategies to help Business Counselors effectively align their activities toward the achievement of their targets.
The activity served as a valuable platform for knowledge sharing, coordination, and collaboration among Business Counselors, strengthening their commitment to achieving their targets and providing responsive and quality services to MSMEs and aspiring entrepreneurs throughout Quezon Province.

Negosyo Center Sampaloc Assists 7 MSMEs in SMART BAYANIHAN Training During 2026 MSME Week

July 9, 2026 – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Quezon, through Negosyo Center Sampaloc, in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Sampaloc, facilitated the participation of seven (7) Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the SMART BAYANIHAN: Empowering MSMEs Through Productivity, Green and Digital Innovations training conducted by the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) IV-A CALABARZON at St. Jude Cooperative Hotel and Event Center, Barangay Isabang, Tayabas City, in celebration of the 2026 MSME Week.

The SMART BAYANIHAN training provided participating MSMEs with practical knowledge and strategies to improve productivity, embrace digital transformation, and adopt sustainable business practices. The whole-day learning activity featured the ISTIV Bayanihan Training Module, which emphasized values-driven work habits, business organization, stock control, sound financial management, and basic concepts on green practices. Participants also gained valuable insights on SMART Productivity for MSMEs, focusing on digital readiness, workforce development, innovation planning, and action planning to strengthen business competitiveness.

To support the participation of local entrepreneurs, the LGU of Sampaloc, under the leadership of Mayor Nicolas Andre T. Devanadera, extended transportation assistance to the participating MSMEs and DTI personnel, ensuring their safe and convenient travel to and from the venue. This assistance contributed to the successful implementation of the activity and demonstrated the municipality's continued commitment to supporting local enterprise development.

DTI Quezon and the LGU of Sampaloc remain steadfast in empowering MSMEs by providing access to capability-building programs that promote productivity, innovation, digitalization, and sustainable business growth. Through this collaborative effort, both agencies reaffirm their commitment to strengthening the competitiveness and resilience of local enterprises and fostering inclusive economic development in the municipality.
