MANGGA, QUEZON, ISABELA โ The HopeNest Program 2026 officially commenced its Day 1 activities at Kamuzky Farms and Resort, Mangga, Quezon, Isabela, bringing together young leaders for a day of learning, reflection, and meaningful interaction focused on strengthening their personal and leadership capacities. The day began with a series of getting-to-know activities designed to foster camaraderie, openness, and stronger connections among the participants, followed by the welcome remarks of Hon. Joanna Escapular, Chairperson of Mangga, who welcomed the participants and expressed support for initiatives that empower the youth.
Throughout Day 1, participants engaged in various sessions centered on essential life and leadership skills, including managing emotions, conflict management, and understanding different types of leadership, among other topics. The sessions provided the young leaders with opportunities to examine their own emotions, understand how conflicts arise and can be addressed constructively, and recognize the different leadership approaches they may encounter and apply in their respective communities.
The first day set the tone for a transformative HopeNest experience, emphasizing that effective youth leadership begins with self-awareness, emotional maturity, and the ability to work with others. The HopeNest Program 2026 is jointly implemented by the Move2Change Foundation and the Local Government Unit of Quezon, Isabela through the Local Youth Development Office, providing young Quezonian leaders with spaces to learn, collaborate, and develop initiatives that can create meaningful impact in their communities.
