🇵🇭 QSU ROTC UNIT CONDUCTS SUCCESSFUL 2ND AND 3RD TRAINING DAYS AT DIFFUN AND CABARROGUIS CAMPUS

Under the supervision of LTC JIMSON P TALAMAYAN (INF) PA, CDC Director/Commandant, the Quirino State University (QSU) ROTC Unit successfully conducted its Second and Third Training Days at the QSU Cabarroguis Campus, further strengthening its commitment to developing disciplined, competent, and service-oriented future citizen soldiers.

On 25 July 2026, TSg Eduardo V Grande (Inf) PA, Operations NCO, together with the Graduate Military Assistants (GMAs) and Advance ROTC Cadets, facilitated the Second Training Day of the Basic ROTC Cadete and Caddettes at the QSU Cabarroguis Campus . Conducted as part of the Common Module for all components of the National Service Training Program (NSTP), the activity focused on organizing the cadets into platoons to establish an effective command structure. The cadets were also introduced to the fundamentals of close order drill through familiarization with basic marching and facing movements. Despite the unavailability of a designated instructor, the training was conducted successfully through the initiative and professionalism of the ROTC training staff.

On the same day, TSg Percival A Gutierrez (Inf) PA, ROTC NCO, together with the GMAs and Advance ROTC Cadets, facilitated the Third Training Day of the Basic ROTC Cadete and Caddettes at the QSU Diffun Campus. The activity continued the organization of cadets into platoons and companies while reinforcing their knowledge and proficiency in basic marching and facing movements. These foundational drills were conducted to instill discipline, teamwork, alertness, and military bearing qualities expected of every ROTC cadet and future member of the reserve force.

The successful conduct of these training activities reflects the unwavering commitment of the 204th Community Defense Center (CDC)and the QSU ROTC Unit to delivering quality ROTC instruction despite operational challenges. Through continuous training, mentorship, and leadership development, the unit remains dedicated to producing responsible, disciplined, and patriotic citizen soldiers who are prepared to contribute to nation-building and community resilience.

🇵🇭 QSU ROTC UNIT CONTINUES TRAINING ACTIVITIES AT DIFFUN AND CABARROGUIS CAMPUSES

Under the supervision of LTC JIMSON P TALAMAYAN (INF) PA, CDC Director/Commandant, the Quirino State University (QSU) ROTC Unit successfully conducted training activities for ROTC cadets at the QSU Diffun Main Campus and QSU Cabarroguis Campus, reaffirming its commitment to developing disciplined, competent, and service-oriented future citizen soldiers.

On 18 JULY 2026, TSg Percival A. Gutierrez (Inf) PA, ROTC NCO, together with the Graduate Military Assistants (GMAs) and Advance ROTC Cadets, facilitated the Second Training Day of the QSU ROTC Unit at the QSU Diffun Main Campus, Barangay Andres Bonifacio, Diffun, Quirino. Conducted as part of the Common Module for all components of the National Service Training Program (NSTP), the activity featured Mr. John Paul C. Afalla as the resource speaker. He delivered the continuation of his lectures on Drug Education and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM), emphasizing the importance of drug prevention, disaster preparedness, and community resilience.

TSg Eduardo V. Grande (Inf) PA, Operations NCO, together with the Graduate Military Assistants (GMAs) and Advance ROTC Cadets, facilitated the First Training Day of the QSU ROTC Unit at the QSU Cabarroguis Campus, Barangay Zamora, Cabarroguis, Quirino. The activity focused on orienting newly enrolled ROTC cadets on the objectives of the ROTC Program, its scheduled training activities, and the Common Module to be implemented under the University's National Service Training Program (NSTP).

The successful conduct of these training activities reflects the unwavering commitment of the 204th Community Defense Center (CDC) and the QSU ROTC Unit to delivering quality ROTC instruction that promotes leadership, discipline, patriotism, and civic responsibility. 🇵🇭QSU ROTC UNIT CONDUCTS ROTC ORIENTATION FOR INCOMING FRESHMEN AT QSU MADDELA CAMPUS

Under the supervision of LTC JIMSON P TALAMAYAN (INF) PA, CDC Director/Commandant, TSg Maurie M Victoria (MI) PA, Chief Clerk, and TSg Eduardo V. Grande (Inf) PA, together with the Advance ROTC Cadets of the Quirino State University (QSU) ROTC Unit, successfully conducted an ROTC Orientation for incoming freshman students on 17 July 2026 at QSU Maddela Campus, Barangay Dipintin, Maddela, Quirino. The activity was conducted in coordination with the Campus Administrator and the NSTP Coordinatorof QSU Maddela Campus.

As part of the orientation, personnel from the 77th Infantry Battalion, 5th Infantry Division, Philippine Army (77IB, 5ID, PA) conducted a static display showcasing the operational capabilities and equipment of an infantry squad. The display provided students with an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the Philippine Army's mission, capabilities, and operational readiness.

Following the static display, TSg Maurie M Victoria (MI) PA delivered an orientation on the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) Program, highlighting its objectives, benefits, and opportunities for students. The discussion emphasized the importance of leadership, discipline, patriotism, and civic responsibility while encouraging students to become active participants in nation-building through the ROTC Program.

The activity also included an Information and Education Campaign (IEC) on the West Philippine Sea, facilitated by personnel of the 77IB. The campaign enhanced the participants' awareness of national security, territorial integrity, and the significance of safeguarding the country's sovereign rights through peaceful and lawful means.

The successful conduct of the ROTC Orientation reflects the continuing commitment of the 204th Community Defense Center, the 204th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion, and the QSU ROTC Unit to developing competent, disciplined, and service-oriented citizen soldiers. Through collaborative initiatives with partner agencies, the unit continues to inspire the youth to embrace leadership, patriotism, and selfless service in support of national development.

🇵🇭🌱204TH RRIBN AND QSU ROTC UNIT PARTICIPATE IN TREE-PLANTING ACTIVITY

Under the supervision of LTC JIMSON P TALAMAYAN (INF) PA, CDC Director/Commandant, TSg Percival A Gutierrez (Inf) PA, ROTC NCO, and SSg Dywenton C. Liggayo (Inf) PA, together with ten (10) reservists of the 204th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (204th RRIBn) led by MAJ TACATA PA (RES) and nine (9) Advance ROTC Cadets of the Quirino State University (QSU) ROTC Unit, participated in a Tree-Planting Activity on 17 July 2026 at Tree Park, Capitol Hills, Cabarroguis, Quirino.

The activity was initiated by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO)–Quirino and was attended by representatives from various government agencies and partner organizations. It aimed to promote environmental conservation, strengthen climate change adaptation efforts, and encourage collective responsibility for preserving the province's natural resources.

Through their active participation, the reservists and Advance ROTC Cadets demonstrated their commitment to environmental stewardship and community service. The activity also provided an opportunity to strengthen collaboration among participating agencies while reinforcing the importance of environmental protection as a shared responsibility.

🇵🇭 204TH RRIBN CONDUCTS COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM IN DIFFUN, QUIRINO

Under the leadership of LTC JIMSON P TALAMAYAN (INF) PA, CDC Director/Commandant, TSg Maurie M Victoria (MI) PA, Chief Clerk, and TSg Jeorge L Angel (OS) PA, ARU NCO, together with reservists of the 204th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (204th RRIBn), participated in a Community Outreach Program on 10 JULY 2026 at Magsaysay Elementary School, Barangay Magsaysay, Diffun, Quirino. The activity was conducted in support of the battalion's continuing commitment to community service and nation-building.

The outreach program was initiated by MAJ JULIUS CAESAR S VAQUILAR PA (RES), Battalion S7, 204th RRIBn and Vice Governor of the Province of Quirino, and was likewise attended by personnel from the 6th Special Forces Company, the Civil-Military Operations Regiment (CMOR), and the 77th Infantry Battalion, demonstrating a strong spirit of collaboration and inter-agency partnership in serving the local community.

The program featured a variety of meaningful activities, including gift-giving, a livelihood showcase for parents, plogging, and a tree-planting activity. During the activity, 25 assorted fruit-bearing tree seedlings were planted to promote environmental conservation, while approximately 150 beneficiaries, composed of students and parents, received assistance and support.

The successful implementation of the outreach program underscores the unwavering commitment of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Reserve Force, and partner agencies to strengthening community relations through humanitarian assistance, environmental stewardship, and public service. Such collaborative initiatives continue to foster volunteerism, compassion, and unity while contributing to sustainable community development and nation-building.
