In celebration of the National ICT Month, the SMILE I.T. Lab and the Smile Taytay Training Institute of the Local Government Unit of Taytay will be kicking off the Batch 1 Information Session for the Taytay Community Research and Innovation Summit (TCRIS) 2026 this coming Friday, June 5, 2026. If you are a student or faculty researcher from the National Capital Region (NCR) or Rizal Province, this is your gateway to turning innovative ideas into actionable public service solutions.

The primary goal of this information session is to guide potential participants through the summit's mechanics, eligibility guidelines, and timeline, ensuring you have all the necessary details to successfully align your research with local government needs. Ultimately, this session aims to help you design localized, implementation-ready projects that address real-world community challenges and directly inform local governance and development planning.

The SMILE Taytay Training Institute successfully conducted the General Orientation for the Masterclass in Psychology: Psychometrician Board Examination Preparation Program last May 27, 2026 via Zoom Teleconference. 🧠💙

The orientation served as the official kick-off of one of STTI’s newest flagship initiatives, designed to provide free, accessible, and quality board examination preparation for aspiring Registered Psychometricians (RPMs).

Participants were introduced to the program structure, learning components, expectations, and review coverage aligned with the Board Licensure Examination for Psychometricians (BLEPP). Experienced lecturers and professionals from both the industry and academe were also presented, reinforcing STTI’s commitment to delivering expert-led and learner-centered lifelong learning programs.

Through initiatives like this, STTI continues to empower Taytayeños and Filipino learners by making professional development opportunities more inclusive, relevant, and accessible. 🌟

The Smile Taytay Training Institute successfully held the diagnostic last Saturday, May 23, 2026, serving as the preparatory phase for the Paghahanda sa Pagiging Lingkod-Bayani 3: Free Civil Service Examination Review Program.

By assessing the foundational knowledge of our examinees, the program ensures a targeted and highly efficient review curriculum designed to maximize passing rates and foster a new cohort of qualified civil servants within the community.

Wrapping up our first-ever Masterclass in Project Management with the presentation of impactful and human-centered project proposals! 💡✨

Twenty-one (21) individuals successfully completed the 16-hour Masterclass in Project Management, culminating in the presentation of innovative programs and initiatives developed throughout the training. The activity showcased not only the participants’ technical knowledge in project management, but also their commitment to creating solutions anchored on empathy, inclusivity, and community impact.

The Project Presentation Proper was graced by Mr. Deejay Arro, Human-Centered Project Management Specialist; Mr. Lawrence Angelo Malasa, Masterclass Trainer; and Mr. Enrico Marquez, STTI Institute Administrator, who collectively served as evaluators for the seven (7) project proposals presented by the trainees.

Among the outstanding presentations, the following projects emerged as the Top Three (3) initiatives that best demonstrated the integration of human-centered design principles:
