CONSTRUCTOR'S PERFORMANCE EVALUATION SYSTEM (CPES) AT EDBO WAREHOUSES

The Constructor's Performance Evaluation System (CPES) is a mandated rating system used by the National Food Authority (NFA) to evaluate contractor performance on infrastructure projects, ensuring quality and compliance with standards.

CPES evaluates NFA projects based on criteria like workmanship, timeliness and safety. These evaluations ensure that infrastructure projects, such as warehouses or facilities, meet required technical standards, promoting accountability in the procurement process.

Three (3) warehouses of NCR-EDBO located in Antipolo City, General Trias City and Marikina City were evaluated by CPES Accredited Engineers Lo**ta C. Addatu and Anthony Espino Navarete from NFA Central Office and Engr. Reynalde A. Bandola from NFA Quezon Branch Office. They were assisted by Engr. Ignacio Guardiano of NFA-NCR and Engr. Bryan Q. Tion of NCR-EDBO.

The recently completed General Trias Warehouse B and Marikina Warehouse undergone thorough evaluation and compliance to standards and set specifications.

In addition, a proposal to install Solar Panels at Antipolo Warehouse 2 was presented where it will provide solar-powered electricity to the controlled air-conditions system of the whole warehouse, which in effect, prevent dryness of rice stocks and control the proliferation of bugs, insects and rodents, thus always ensuring good quality stocks for distribution to NFA stakeholders.

Tuwing Abril kada taon, ipinagdiriwang ang Filipino Food Month o Buwan ng Kalutong Filipino alinsunod sa Proclamation No. 469, S. 2018. Layunin nitong pahalagahan, preserbahin at itaguyod ang mayamang kasaysayan, kultura at tradisyon ng pagkaing Pilipino.

Ngayong taon sa temang "Connected by Taste: The Filipino Food in the Flavors of ASEAN" ay nagtatampok at nakatuon sa pagpapahalaga sa mayamang pamana ng pagkaing Pilipino at ang koneksyon nito sa lasa ng Timog-Silangang Asya.

Ang NFA-NCR-EDBO, sa pangunguna nina Branch Manager Atty. Marko C. Callanta at Assistant Branch Manager Engr. Zaldy C. Caluyong, sa kanyang pagtalima sa nasabing Proklamasyon ay naghain ng pagkaing Flipino tulad ng Pansit, Pritong Tilapia at Galunggong, Suman, Biko, Adobo, Pinakbet, Balatong, atbp na pinagsaluhan sa tanghalian ng mga opisyales at empleyado na may ngiti sa labi at kagalakan sa puso tulad ng pagsasalo-salo ng isang mabuting pamilyang Pilipino.

Bukod sa tanghalian, isang patimpalak ng Meriendang Filipino ang idinaos tampok ang matatamis na mangga mula sa ma puno sa paligid ng EDBO Compound. Gumawa ng Green Mango Ice Cream ang BSm, Mango Pie-nance ang finance Section, Mango Turon ang AGS, Mango Sticky Rice and QAS at Mango Fruit Salad ang FMS.

Napanalunan ng QAS ang unang pwesto pangalawa ang AGS batay sa pamantayang pagka-orihinal, paggamit ng lokal na produkto, lasa at presentasyon.

𝐍𝐅𝐀 𝐑𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐅𝐎𝐎𝐃 𝐒𝐄𝐂𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐘

On April 20, 2026, Food Terminal Incorporated (FTI) Representative Mr. Harold Rosin inspected the quality of stocks at EDBO's Antipolo GID Warehouse 1 prior to purchase of 10,000 bags of NFA rice intended for deliveries to various government agencies such as Local Government Units (LGUs).

FTI, in coordination with identified government agencies are selling NFA rice through Kadiwa Stores at P 20.00 per kilogram. Various sectors like Senior Citizens, Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Solo Parents, 4Ps Beneficiaries, Triicycle and Jeepney Drivers and Operators, Fisherfolks, Farmers and Far Workers are among the identified beneficiaries of the Kadiwa Program (Benteng bigas, Meron Na).

Withdrawal of stocks started on April 22, 2026 and are delivered directly to Kadiwa stores for immediate selling.

Based on the Global food Security Index (GFSI), three of the Assessment Categories of Food Security includes: () Affordability - ability of consumers to purchase food, (2) Availability - sufficiency of food either domestically produced or imported and (3) Quality and Safety - safety of food.

These three categories are present within the bounds of the NFA Mandate wherein NFA rice is affordable, available, with good quality and safe for human consumption.

BENTENG BIGAS MERON NA ULI, SA NFA-NCR-EDBO GENERAL TRIAS, CAVITE WAREHOUSE

Nitong Abril 2026, muling binuksan ng East District Branch Office (EDBO) sa General Trias, Cavite ang kanyang pintuan para sa mga mamamayan ng Cavite na nagnanais makabili ng murang bigas sa pamamagitann ng "Benteng Bigas Meron Na" Program na handog ng Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. sa pagtutulungan ng Food Terminal Inc. (FTI) at National Food Authority (NFA).

Muling nakakabili ng P20.00 kada kilo ng bigas ang mga piling sektor tulad ng Senior Citizens, Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), 4Ps Beneficiaries, Tricycle Drivers, Jeepney Drivers, Fisherfolks, Farmers at Farm Workers.

Kailangang naka rehistro at may QR Code mula sa FTI ang mga bibili at maaring magdala ng kanya kanyang sisidlan ng bigas.
Layunin ng programa na makatulong sa mga piling sektor lalo't higit sa panahong ito na patuloy na tumataas ang presyo ng mga bilihin bunsod ng kaguluhan sa ibang bansa,

Nakamit ng National Food Authority (NFA) ang 94.44% (katumbas ng 5-star) na compliance rating sa energy conservation, batay sa audit ng Department of Energy (DOE) sa ilalim ng Government Energy Management Program (GEMP). Ipinapakita ng rating na ito ang matibay na paninindigan ng NFA sa responsableng paggamit ng enerhiya sa buong bansa.

Ibinahagi ni NFA Administrator Larry R. Lacson ang magandang balita sa mga kawani at muling pinagtibay ang pangako ng ahensya na sumunod sa mga rekomendasyon ng DOE, kabilang ang pagtatatag ng Energy Efficiency and Conservation (EEC) Committees sa lahat ng field offices at ang patuloy na paggamit ng mas episyenteng teknolohiya.

𝓓𝓢𝓦𝓓 - 𝓛𝓾𝔃𝓸𝓷 𝓓𝓲𝓼𝓪𝓼𝓽𝓮𝓻 𝓡𝓮𝓼𝓸𝓾𝓻𝓬𝓮 𝓒𝓮𝓷𝓽𝓮𝓻 (𝓛𝓓𝓡𝓒)

The Luzon Disaster Resource Center (LDRC), under the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), has commenced the withdrawal of 11,000 bags of NFA rice from Antipolo Warehouse 1 of the NCR-East District Branch Office.

As of this date, a total of 6,007 bags have already been withdrawn and transported to the LDRC logistics hub in Pasay City, which serves as the primary disaster response center for the L:uzon region. The logistics hub is responsible for the storage, repacking and distribution of essential Family Food Packs (FFPs) and other relief goods during emergencies and for disaster affected families, Its operations are often supported by volunteers to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of disaster response services.

While in the General Trias, Cavite Warehouse of NCR-EDBO, various jails of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) under the BJMP-Region IV A - Cavite Province also started the withdrawal of NFA rice for their respective Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).
