Rain or shine, the show must go on! 🌦️ Legleg Primary School's IPEd Day cm Family Day on October 24, 2025 was filled with unstoppable fun. Even with the fickle weather, the joy was palpable as our students soaked up the learning and playing activities.

The school would like to thank our elders and parents, for their presence and continous support towards the school. We hope that you never get tired of helping our school as we create a community that preserves our rich culture through passing down knowledge to our dear learners.

Legleg Primary School successfully conducted a simultaneous handwashing activity this October 15, 2025, involving all students and teaching personnel in support of the theme, "Be a Handwashing Hero." Through this simple act, we promote proper hand hygiene as a fundamental and effective public health measure within the school community.

Legleg Primary and Pingad National High School Students Win Learner Government Elections

Date: February 27, 2025

In an exciting result, Klaryz B. Awilan from Legleg Primary School has been elected as the new President of the Sabangan District Federated Supreme Elementary Learner Government (DFSELG), while Reagan M. Doculan from Pingad National High School won the President's seat for the District Federated Supreme Secondary Learner Government (DFSSLG).

In addition to these top positions, other students from various elementary schools were elected to key roles:

• Katniss B. Damoking – Treasurer
• Kyro L. Mendoza – Auditor
• Cyrus Nesson U. Paloging – Public Information Officer

• Jezairee Quin P. Wacnang, Kaye Cee J. Felipe, Princess Vien T. Mangay-at – Representatives

In the secondary schools, the following were elected:

• Janlee T. Padong – Treasurer
• Zander Bacagan – Auditor
• Zyvher Brent P. Gullod – Public Information Officer
• Mike Claford A. Bacala – Protocol Officer
• Mark D. Ayodoc – Representative

Joel Francis G. Licayo, the school head of Pingad – Bao-angan ES and Legleg PS, administered the oath to the newly elected DFSELG and DFSSLG officers at Sabangan Central School, the venue for the district activity.

The DFSELG and DFSSLG elections provide students from both elementary and secondary levels an opportunity to lead and bring about positive change in their school communities. With both elections now decided, the district is excited about the initiatives and leadership these new student leaders will bring.

Legleg Primary School Shines in Numberace in the District Festival of Talents

Date: February 12, 2025

Legleg Primary School triumphed in the Numberace competition in the District Festival of Talents held at Bun-ayan Elementary School. The event themed "Reinforcing 21st Century Learning and Fostering Creative Industries and Skills Exhibition" brought together learners to showcase their skills in English, Filipino, and Mathematics.

The winning pupils were Wayne Andrie M. Labiang (Grade 4), Klarhyz B. Awilan (Grade 5), and Avril A. Macayan (Grade 6), who demonstrated their mathematical skills and teamwork throughout the event. They excelled both individually and as a team securing the top spot.

While Legleg PS’s participants in the Filipino and English Read-A-Thon events showed great enthusiasm and effort, they did not land in the top three. However, their participation was a testament to their passion for reading and language development.

This victory in the Numberace competition not only highlights the school’s focus on developing strong academic and problem-solving skills but also underscores Legleg Primary School’s dedication to preparing students for the challenges of the 21st century.

October 15 is marked as the Global Handwashing Day, a global advocacy day dedicated to increasing awareness and understanding about the importance of handwashing with soap.

Teachers and students at Legleg Primary School joined the handwashing activity, educating our young learners about the importance of hand hygiene and proper handwashing techniques. By involving teachers in a hands-on demonstration, the activity aimed to reinforce the learning process and encourage learners to adopt healthy habits.

Through these activities, Legleg Primary School continues to promote hand hygiene and creates a healthier learning environment for its students.
