On behalf of Mayor Ruth Brillantes and Vice Mayor Michael I. Buzon, MLGOO Federick Rigodon, Jr., Honorable Neal Brent S. Acas (SB Member, Committee Chairperson on Peace and Order), and PMAJ Roy O. Malayo (Acting Chief of Police) stood in representing the Municipal Offices during the Skills Enhancement and Refresher Seminar for Barangay Tanods.

"TWO CALLINGS, ONE HEART: LEGISLATION AND EXECUTIVE FOR PEACE AND SERVICE"

The Local Government Unit of Salug, through the Office of the Municipal Mayor and the Sangguniang Bayan, welcomed the National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) Team for a courtesy visit on August 7, 2026.

As received by Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Michael I. Buzon, the meeting highlighted key functions of local governance:

- Sanggunian Legislation: Enacting ordinances on Peace and Order, ensuring proper budget allocation for PNP support, personnel, and equipment, and providing legislative oversight for public safety programs.

- Office of the Mayor: Exercising appointment and recommendation powers, extending logistical and fund support to PNP, and leading community service, outreach, and public safety initiatives.

This collaboration with NAPOLCOM and our community reaffirms our commitment to uphold institutional integrity, strengthen peace and order, and deliver responsive public service for every Salugnon.

Together with NAPOLCOM, the LGU and the community, we build a safer and more progressive Municipality of Salug.
