Earlier today marked a significant milestone as our school officially kicked off Brigada Eskwela 2026.

The event began with a community recorrida and a Zumba session led by Hon. Jernel Capuno. It was a successful day of collaboration, attended by our teaching and non-teaching staff, PTA officials, Barangay officials, and our supportive alumni.

We look forward to more helping hands as we work together for the success of this year’s Brigada Eskwela and for the benefit of our learners.

In reference to DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2026 dated April 16, 2026, on the Guidelines for the Implementation of the Three-Term School Calendar in Basic Education, the Department of Education officially announces the conduct of the 2026 Oplan Balik Eskwela (OBE) from May 4–29, 2026.

The Oplan Balik Eskwela is a nationwide initiative that aims to ensure a smooth, orderly, and learner-centered opening of classes through the collective support and collaboration of government agencies, private organizations, community stakeholders, parents, and the education sector.

The Schools Division of Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS) strongly supports the implementation of the 2026 Oplan Balik Eskwela and remains committed to providing accessible, safe, organized, and quality educational services for all learners as preparations for the opening of classes continue.

Let us work together in creating a welcoming and conducive learning environment for every learner this School Year 2026–2027.

Our Junior and Senior High School teachers attended the virtual orientation on the Learning System Reform Policies for Schools Division Office personnel, school heads, and teachers, held via YouTube Live and facilitated by the Department of Education today, May 9, 2026.

During the orientation, updated policies and implementation guidelines for the Learning System Reforms, including the transition to a three-term school calendar for School Year 2026–2027, were highlighted. The activity also aimed to enhance collaboration among educators and school leaders for effective learning continuity, improved instructional time, and efficient education service delivery in the Department of Education.
