Strengthening youth leadership through gender-responsive and inclusive development ✨

The Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) proudly participated in the Capacity Strengthening on Gender Transformative Training for Barangay Children’s Associations, conducted by Plan International Pilipinas from April 21–23, 2026.

Representing Sta. Margarita were Jake Matthew Tan, Buhay Lea A. Albelda, and Immaculate Joy Caber from Barangay Monbon, who actively engaged in the sessions and collaborative activities throughout the training.

The program emphasized the vital role of youth in community development, highlighting the importance of establishing and sustaining youth organizations. It also provided valuable insights on meaningful participation in initiatives such as the Youth Organizations Registration Program (YORP), empowering young leaders to become proactive agents of change.

The LYDO expresses its gratitude for this opportunity, which continues to build the capacity of our youth and strengthen their commitment to creating inclusive, gender-responsive, and community-driven programs.

Empowered leaders shaping the future of youth governance ✨

The Youth Work Convergence 2026, held on April 23–26, 2026, marked another milestone in strengthening local youth development efforts through the Technical Assistance on Local Youth Development Planning and SK Web Portal Monitoring and Evaluation. Spearheaded by PYESDO in partnership with the National Youth Commission, the event gathered passionate youth leaders and advocates committed to meaningful change.

Sta. Margarita proudly took part throughWindelyn Jaime ProgellaLYDO Windelyn Jaime Progella and SK Federation Representative Hon. Jake Raniel Garnica, SK Chairperson of Barangay Palale, on behalf of SK Federation President Hon. Rafael M. Bayanban.

The convergence became a space for collaboration and innovation as participants shared their Local Youth Development Plans and highlighted best practices from their communities. Each presentation reflected dedication, creativity, and a unified vision of empowering the youth sector.
