The Municipality of San Agustin through the San Agustin Primary Health Care Facility successfully conducted last March 19, 2026 the National Oral Health Month 2026 and the โNgisi ug Nutrisyon: Integrated Oral Health and Nutrition Program for Mothers and Childrenโ (PMNP activity) aimed at promoting healthy smiles and proper nutrition among our community.
We were honored to have our guest partners from the Philippine Dental Association โ Surigao del Sur Chapter (PDA-SDS) Merla T. Cubero, DMD our Provincial Dental Coordinator, Kristine Dianne C. Lozada, DMD, Julie Ann P. Lozada, DMD and Narlina G. Dango, DMD, and Yvonne Carol A. Castro, DMD who generously shared her expertise through an informative lecture for our pregnant mothers on the First 1000 Days abd proper oral care and nutrition during pregnancy and for their upcoming babies. ๐คฐ๐
As part of the activity, fluoride application was also provided to our daycare children, helping protect their teeth and promote lifelong oral health habits. With the participation of the Child Development Centers of Poblacion, Oteiza and Kauswagan with their CDWs๐ง๐ชฅ
This initiative highlights the importance of integrating oral health and nutrition, especially for mothers and young children, as we continue to build a healthier and brighter communityโone smile at a time. ๐โจ
