LOOK|| Strengthening Health Data Quality Through the PMNP DQC Tool!

The San Agustin Primary Health Care Facility successfully conducted the FHSIS Data Quality Check (DQC) Training for Barangay Nurses and Midwives on July 20–21, 2026, at the RHU Old Building, San Agustin, Surigao del Sur.

A major highlight of the training was the orientation and hands-on application of the Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project (PMNP) Data Quality Check (DQC) Tool, designed to improve the quality, accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness of health data reported through the Field Health Services Information System (FHSIS). Through practical exercises and data validation sessions, participants strengthened their skills in identifying reporting gaps, correcting inconsistencies, and ensuring reliable health information for evidence-based planning and decision-making.

The activity also served as a venue for collaboration and knowledge sharing among our Barangay Nurses and Midwives, reaffirming their commitment to maintaining high standards of data management in delivering quality primary health care services.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated facilitators Ms. Joyce D. Torregosa and Ms. Farrah Mae P. Japson for sharing their expertise, technical guidance, and unwavering support throughout the two-day training. Your commitment has empowered our health workers with the knowledge and confidence to effectively utilize the PMNP DQC Tool in improving FHSIS data quality.

To all our participants headed by Dr. Kenn E. Avila, thank you for your active participation, enthusiasm, and dedication to continuous learning. Together, we continue to build a stronger health information system that supports better planning, better programs, and better health outcomes for every Kalumonan.

Quality Data. Better Decisions. Healthier Communities.
