𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐏 𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐎 𝐂𝐈𝐕𝐈𝐋 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐈𝐁𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐓𝐘!

The City Human Resource Management Office (CHRMO) successfully concluded the second week of the Career Service Examination–Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) Review Classes for City Government employees preparing for the 09 August 2026 Civil Service Examination. The program forms part of the CHRMO's continuing commitment to support employees aiming to acquire Civil Service Eligibility and eventually advance their careers in public service.

During the second week of the review, participants further strengthened their knowledge through engaging learning sessions facilitated by the esteemed faculty members and academic professionals from the City College of San Fernando, Pampanga (CCSFP), namely:

• Word Analogies – Mr. Ralph Jayson D. Calbang, MAEd, LPT, Senior Executive Assistant to the President
• Basic Operations, Sequences, and Word Problems – Dr. Kimberly G. Mallari, LPT, Dean, Institute of Education
• Data Interpretation – Dr. Melanie O. Junio, Director, Research and Extension Services

The CHRMO likewise extends its sincere appreciation to the City College of San Fernando Pampanga (CCSFP) and its faculty members for their invaluable partnership, dedication, and unwavering support in making this review program meaningful and beneficial to our employees. Their expertise and commitment have greatly contributed to the participants' preparation for the upcoming Civil Service Examination.

As the review program concludes, the CHRMO remains committed to empowering every reviewee with the knowledge and confidence needed to successfully take the upcoming Civil Service Examination and continue delivering quality public service to the Fernandino community.

In view of the continued heavy rainfall brought about by Tropical Storm Maymay and the Southwest Monsoon, and upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), work in government offices and classes at all levels in the National Capital Region and the provinces of Ilocos Sur, La Union, Benguet, Pangasinan, Abra, Zambales, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Nueva Vizcaya, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas, Laguna, and Occidental Mindoro are hereby suspended on 06 August 2026.

Agencies delivering essential and emergency services shall continue their operations. The suspension of work in private companies and offices is left to the discretion of their respective heads.

📢 HEALTH ADVISORY: HEIGHTENED SURVEILLANCE ON COVID-19 AND INFLUENZA-LIKE ILLNESS (ILI)

In line with the heightened surveillance efforts for COVID-19 and Influenza-like Illnesses (ILI), the City Health Office - CESU reminds all Fernandinos to stay vigilant and practice necessary preventive health measures to protect themselves, their families, and the community.

WEAR A FACEMASK: Protect Yourself. Protect Others.
Wearing a well-fitted facemask is highly recommended, especially in high-risk settings:
In crowded places or enclosed spaces with limited airflow
On public transportation (buses, jeepneys, e-trikes, vans, trains)
When visiting health facilities, such as hospitals, clinics, or Rural Health Units (RHUs)
When experiencing symptoms like cough, colds, fever, or flu-like illness
When interacting with vulnerable individuals, including the elderly, young children, pregnant women, and immunocompromised individuals
LET’S ALL DO OUR PART!
Follow these minimum public health standards to minimize transmission:
Wash your hands regularly with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
Cover your cough or sneeze using a tissue or the bend of your elbow.
Keep indoor areas well-ventilated by opening windows and allowing fresh air to circulate.
Get vaccinated when eligible, including booster doses.
Stay home and rest if you are feeling unwell to prevent spreading viruses to others.

Please be advised that Mayor Vilma Balle-Caluag has ordered the suspension of work in the City Government and classes in public schools (all levels) in the City of San Fernando, in observance of the 𝟭𝟭𝟮𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗴𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗮 𝗡𝗶 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼.

Through Executive Order No. 2026-054, Caluag said she recognizes the importance of this occasion, and that providing LGU employees and public school students with a reasonable opportunity to observe the occasion is a sign of respecting religious freedom.

While office-based transactions are suspended, City Government offices whose functions involve the delivery of health services, preparedness and response to calamities and disasters, and the performance of vital functions will continue with their operations.
