🚨CNCS Conducts Lockdown Drill in Observance of National Safety Week
In observance of National Safety Week, Candon North Central School (CNCS) conducted a Lockdown Drill on an Active Attack Incident earlier today to strengthen preparedness and promote a culture of safety within the school community.
The activity provided learners and school personnel with an opportunity to practice appropriate safety protocols and response procedures in the event of an active attack incident. It also aimed to assess the school's readiness and reinforce the importance of remaining calm, alert, and responsive during emergency situations.
Members of the Barangay Council, headed by Kagawad Venerando Abarquez, were invited to witness and evaluate the drill, highlighting the importance of community involvement in promoting school safety and emergency preparedness.
Meanwhile, Mr. Rodolfo Valdez Jr., School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (SDRRM) Coordinator, delivered a brief message emphasizing the purpose of the activity and reminding everyone of the importance of being prepared for emergencies. He further announced that beginning November, regular safety drills will be conducted, which may include fire, earthquake, or lockdown drills, to continuously strengthen the school's emergency readiness and response capabilities.
Through these initiatives, CNCS reaffirms its commitment to fostering a safe and secure learning environment where learners and personnel are prepared to respond appropriately to various emergency situations.
Preparedness today, protection for tomorrow!🛡️
