Kim Valeri A. Tampon, SK federated president of San Jose, Dinagat Islands, brought the voices of the youth from island communities to the ASEAN Youth Summit 2026.

Held on August 5-6 at the Philippine International Convention Center, Tampon served as the delegate and youth representative of the municipality of San Jose and the Province of Dinagat Islands.

𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗞𝗶𝗺 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗶 𝗔. 𝗧𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗻, 𝗟𝗣𝗧, SK Federation President of San Jose and Ex-Officio Member of the Sangguniang Bayan, joined the site inspection led by 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗲 "𝗞𝗮𝗸𝗮" 𝗝. 𝗕𝗮𝗴-𝗮𝗼 for the ongoing construction of the Barangay Hall of Brgy. Mahayahay.

The inspection was conducted together with 𝗗𝗣𝗪𝗛 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘁 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗖𝘆𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗮𝘀, the Barangay Officials of Brgy. Mahayahay, and other local government representatives, reaffirming their shared commitment to ensuring the quality, timely implementation, and successful completion of the project.

The construction of the new Barangay Hall reflects the continuing efforts of the national and local government to strengthen public service by providing a safer, more accessible, and functional facility for the residents of Brgy. Mahayahay.

Through unity and collaborative leadership, the Municipality of San Jose continues to invest in projects that promote good governance and sustainable community development.

On July 31, 2026, 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗞𝗶𝗺 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗶 𝗔. 𝗧𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗻, 𝗟𝗣𝗧, SK Federation President of San Jose and Ex-Officio Member of the Sangguniang Bayan, attended the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the Executive Building held at the Municipal Government of San Jose, Dinagat Islands.

This milestone marks another significant step in strengthening local governance through the development of better public infrastructure that will enhance the delivery of government services for every resident of San Jose.

The ceremony was graced by 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗲 "𝗞𝗮𝗸𝗮" 𝗝. 𝗕𝗮𝗴-𝗮𝗼, 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗥𝘂𝗯𝗲𝗻 𝗝. 𝗗. 𝗭𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗴𝗮, 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗹,

𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗞𝗶𝗺 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗶 𝗔. 𝗧𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗻, 𝗟𝗣𝗧, SK Federation President of San Jose, Dinagat Islands, had the privilege of serving as the Guest Speaker during the 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗧𝘂𝗯𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗻 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, where he delivered an inspiring talk on "𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗶𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀: 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲."

The session encouraged young people to understand that true leadership is not defined by a position or title, but by one's character, integrity, willingness to serve, and commitment to creating positive change in the community. Through his message, SK Kimmy inspired the youth to become leaders who empower others, embrace responsibility, and lead with compassion and purpose.

The 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 (𝗠𝗧𝗔𝗖) 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿 Meeting was successfully conducted, bringing together local officials and stakeholders to discuss key initiatives that will further strengthen tourism and cultural development in the Municipality of San Jose, Dinagat Islands.

With the participation of our 𝗦𝗞 𝗙𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗞𝗶𝗺 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗶 𝗔. 𝗧𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗻, 𝗟𝗣𝗧, for actively representing the youth sector during the meeting. Also in attendance were 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗹, 𝗦𝗕 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗼, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗕 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗙𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘅 𝗤. These discussions highlighted collaborative efforts to promote San Jose's rich culture, strengthen local tourism, and create sustainable opportunities for the community.

The 29th Regular Session of the 13th Sangguniang Bayan of San Jose, Dinagat Islands was successfully conducted under the leadership of Hon. Vice Mayor Rechard Pasquil, together with the Honorable Members of the Sangguniang Bayan, as they deliberated on matters and proposed measures aimed at advancing the welfare and development of the municipality.

The session provided an opportunity to deliberate on legislative measures and discuss matters that support the continuous development and effective governance of the Municipality of San Jose.

During the session, the Provincial Director of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) visited the Sangguniang Bayan and presented significant updates on the agency's programs, initiatives, and statistical activities. The visit strengthened coordination between the PSA and the Local Government Unit in promoting accurate, reliable, and data-driven governance.

Hon. Kim Valeri A. Tampon, LPT reaffirmed the commitment of the youth sector to actively participate in legislative discussions and support initiatives that contribute to the sustainable growth and progress of San Jose.

A Coordination Meeting on the Safe School Zone Initiative was successfully conducted to strengthen collaborative efforts in ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of students, teachers, and the entire school community.

The meeting was attended by SK Federation President Kim Valeri A. Tampon (Kimmy), LPT, Board Member Gretchen E. Ang, and PCOL Jerome A. Dela Cruz, MPS, Elias Durero, together with other key stakeholders and Officials, to discuss strategies and initiatives that will enhance security measures in and around school premises.

The discussions highlighted the importance of strong partnerships among local government units, law enforcement agencies, and community leaders in creating a secure and child-friendly learning environment. Through coordinated action and shared responsibility, the Safe School Zone Initiative aims to provide students with a safe space where they can learn, grow, and thrive.

A productive Legislative Building Finalization Meeting was held at the Office of Cong. Kaka Bag-ao, bringing together key officials and stakeholders to discuss and finalize plans for the proposed Legislative Building of the Municipality of San Jose, Dinagat Islands.

The meeting was attended by Sir Noel Quima, DPWH Engineers, Hon. Vice Mayor Rechard Pasquil, SB Member Kim Valeri A. Tampon (Kimmy), LPT, SB Member Clica Antipolo, SB Member Felix Purtollano, and SB Secretary Juliet Monteseven, whose collective insights and expertise contributed to the refinement of the project's plans and implementation.

This collaborative effort underscores the shared commitment of the national and local government to strengthening public infrastructure, enhancing legislative operations, and providing a more efficient and conducive workplace for public service.

Through strong leadership, inter-agency cooperation, and a common vision for progress, the Municipality of San Jose continues to take meaningful steps toward sustainable development and better governance for every San Josehanon.
