San Miguel, Leyte โ September 3, 2026 โ Personnel of San Miguel Fire Station, under the supervision of the Officer-in-Charge, SFO4 Oscar Ma S. Guarda Jr., OIC-Municipal Fire Marshal, in coordination with the San Miguel Municipal Police Station and Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), conducted the Nationwide Simultaneous School Safety Drills for Active Attack Incidents to enhance preparedness and response capabilities during potential active attack situations within school premises.
The activity involved the conduct of safety and emergency response procedures designed to familiarize personnel and school stakeholders with appropriate actions during an active attack incident. The participating agencies worked together to strengthen coordination, communication, situational awareness, and the proper implementation of established emergency response protocols.
The activity highlights the commitment of San Miguel Fire Station, San Miguel PNP, and MDRRMO to strengthening school safety and emergency preparedness while promoting inter-agency coordination, teamwork, and readiness in responding to critical incidents.
