𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬. 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬

𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄: The 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗣𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲: is one of the 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲’𝘀 premier specialized diving programs, designed to develop highly competent public safety divers capable of safely operating in confined and hazardous underwater environments, including submerged vessels and shipwrecks. Through intensive theoretical instruction and practical exercises, the course enhances the proficiency of personnel in conducting complex underwater search, rescue, and recovery operations while upholding the highest standards of safety, discipline, and operational excellence.

Yesterday, 30 July 2026 the 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 (𝗖𝗚𝗦𝗢𝗙), through the 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗰𝘂𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗽 (𝗦𝗦𝗥𝗚), formally convened the 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐤 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝟎𝟖-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, composed of eight (8) CGSOF personnel and two (2) Philippine Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance Regiment personnel.

The convening ceremony was presided over by 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗢 𝗝𝗜𝗠𝗠𝗬 𝗕. 𝗡𝗔𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗗 𝗣𝗖𝗚, Commander, CGSOF, and attended by 𝗖𝗔𝗣𝗧 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗦𝗞𝗔 𝗔𝗡𝗔 𝗥 𝗝𝗔𝗠𝗢𝗥𝗢𝗟 𝗣𝗖𝗚, Commander, Technical Diving Group, together with 𝗟𝗧𝗝𝗚 𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗘 𝗔 𝗛𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗢 𝗣𝗖𝗚, Course Director, who will oversee the conduct of the training.

This undertaking further reinforces the commitment to partnerships recently highlighted during the courtesy visit of the Commander, Force Reconnaissance Regiment to CGSOF, where both organizations discussed expanding opportunities for cross-training and strengthening interoperability. By training alongside our partner services, we continue to foster mutual trust, exchange specialized expertise, and build a more capable and integrated special operations force prepared to respond to the nation’s evolving maritime and security challenges.

𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬, 𝐄𝐧𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒: The 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 (𝗖𝗚𝗦𝗢𝗙) was honored to welcome 𝗖𝗢𝗟 𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘𝗥 𝗙 𝗕𝗔𝗬𝗟𝗢𝗡 𝗣𝗡(𝗠) (𝗚𝗦𝗖), Commander, Force Reconnaissance Regiment, during a courtesy visit at CGSOF Headquarters on 29 July 2026. The delegation was warmly received by 𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗢 𝗝𝗜𝗠𝗠𝗬 𝗕 𝗡𝗔𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗗 𝗣𝗖𝗚, Commander, CGSOF, together with the officers and non-officers of the unit.

One of the key agenda items discussed was the proposed cross-training initiative between the Coast Guard Special Operations Force and the Force Recon Regiment. This collaborative endeavor aims to enhance interoperability, facilitate the exchange of specialized skills, tactics, and best practices, and further strengthen the operational capabilities of both units in support of joint missions and national security objectives.

This engagement reflects the shared commitment of both organizations to fostering stronger partnerships, promoting professional excellence, and ensuring a highly capable, adaptive, and mission-ready special operations force.
