₱15 𝑴𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑺𝒐𝒍𝒂𝒓 𝑷𝒖𝒎𝒑 𝑰𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒋𝒆𝒄𝒕 𝑰𝒏𝒂𝒖𝒈𝒖𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝑩𝒓𝒈𝒚. 𝑩𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒃𝒂𝒏𝒈

To enhance agricultural productivity and promote sustainable farming practices, the Solar Pump Irrigation Project under the Sibalom-San Jose Irrigation System (SSJIS) was officially inaugurated today in Brgy. Barangbang, San Remigio, Antique.

Worth ₱15 Million, this facility covers a service area of 15 hectares, providing a reliable and eco-friendly water source to support local farmers, increase agricultural productivity, and support sustainable and climate resilient agriculture. The project was also made possible through the generous lot donation of Engr. Allen Marfil and Mr. Alex Marfil.

The event was attended by key local and regional officials: Mayor Margarito C. Mission Jr., Engr. Bernard N. Castellano, Division Manager A, NIA,
Mr. Mars G. Omallao, IA President (Sibalom-San Remigio IA), National Irrigation Administration (NIA) Staff and local agricultural stakeholders.

In his message, Mayor Mar expressed gratitude to National Irrigation Administration for selecting the municipality for this project, while emphasizing the importance of long-term sustainability:

"Salamat gid sa NIA sa bulig kanatun kasi duro-duro nga association hindi lang sa Antique kundi sa bilog nga Pilipinas, isa tayo sa gin tugruan kang chansa. Ang challenge kanatun kung paano naton eh maintain kag mapakinabangan hindi lang sa 10 years, 20 years or more than pa kag ang next generation makaambit ghapon. Hindi sanda mabudlayan, amu gid ra ang pinaka importante."

The initiative marks another significant step toward climate-smart infrastructure and sustainable agricultural development in San Remigio.

𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐥𝐲 𝐀𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐊 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐫𝐠𝐲. 𝐁𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐧-𝐁𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐧 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐎𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞

Today, 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻 𝗘. 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗼 officially took his oath of office as the newly appointed Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairperson of Barangay Bulan-Bulan at the Office of Municipal Mayor.

During the ceremony, Mayor Mission congratulated Chairperson Cordero as he formally assumed his new role. He also expressed his gratitude to outgoing SK Chairperson Vergie Tabuga for her dedicated service and congratulated her on beginning a new chapter in her career with the Department of Education (DepEd).

The Municipality of San Remigio wishes both leaders continued success in their respective journeys.

𝑺𝒂𝒏 𝑹𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒈𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒉𝒐𝒏 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒂𝒓𝒔 𝑹𝒆𝒄𝒆𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑬𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑨𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆

The Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO), in partnership with the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO) – San Remigio, successfully conducted the disbursement of the Provincial Educational Assistance to scholars from the Municipality of San Remigio.

The program prioritized working/self-supporting students and those belonging to priority sectors, including Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), Indigenous Peoples (IPs), SACADAs, residents of Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDA), solo parents, and graduating students undergoing On-the-Job Training (OJT).

The educational assistance provides financial support to qualified scholars to help address their educational expenses.

As preparations for the 6th Mayor's Cup continue, Mayor Mar C. Mission, Jr., together with Hon. John Michael H. Mission, SKMFP, visited the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) and personally thanked the Commission for the financial assistance provided by the agency for the staging of the 6th Mayor’s Cup.

The meeting also covered the event's budgetary requirements, logistical preparations, and the submission of the necessary documents for the download of the fund.
