Ang Kahalagahan ng Tree Planting:
Pag-aalaga sa Kalikasan, Pag-asa sa Kinabukasan

Ang kalikasan ay isang mahalagang bahagi ng ating buhay. Ito ang nagbibigay sa atin ng hangin, tubig, pagkain, at iba pang pangangailangan. Kaya naman, mahalagang pangalagaan natin ito. Isa sa mga paraan upang pangalagaan ang kalikasan ay ang pagtatanim ng puno.

Kamakailan lamang, ang mga SGLG ng Maguid Elementary School ay nagsagawa ng Session 2 HIBLA LOKAL ng Book Nook Palimbang na may temang "Care for Nature." Isa sa mga aktibidad na isinagawa ay ang tree planting. Ang aktibidad na ito ay naglalayong magtanim ng mga puno sa paligid ng paaralan at sa komunidad.

Ang tree planting ay may maraming kahalagahan. Una, nakakatulong ito upang mapanatili ang malinis na hangin. Ang mga puno ay sumisipsip ng carbon dioxide, isang greenhouse gas na nagdudulot ng climate change. Sa pamamagitan ng pagtatanim ng puno, nababawasan ang carbon dioxide sa ating atmospera.

Pangalawa, nakakatulong ito upang mapanatili ang malinis na tubig. Ang mga ugat ng puno ay tumutulong upang pigilan ang pagguho ng lupa. Sa pamamagitan ng pagtatanim ng puno, naiiwasan ang pagbaha at pagkasira ng mga watershed.

Pangatlo, nakakatulong ito upang mapanatili ang biodiversity. Ang mga puno ay tirahan ng iba't ibang uri ng hayop at halaman. Sa pamamagitan ng pagtatanim ng puno, napoprotektahan natin ang mga ito.

Ang tree planting ay isang simpleng gawain na may malaking epekto sa ating kalikasan. Kaya naman, hinihikayat ko ang lahat na makiisa sa mga ganitong aktibidad. Sa pamamagitan ng pagtatanim ng puno, sama-sama nating pangalagaan ang ating kalikasan para sa ating kinabukasan.

Ang Session 2 HIBLA LOKAL ng Book Nook Palimbang na may temang "Care for Nature" ay isang magandang halimbawa ng kung paano tayo makakatulong sa pag-aalaga ng kalikasan. Sana ay maging inspirasyon ito sa atin upang maging responsable at mapagmahal sa ating kalikasan.

Lumipad ang aming team...🛫
Last October 20, representatives from the National Book Development Board's Readership Development Division began their week-long Book Nook site monitoring and inspection across Book Nook sites in Northern Luzon.
First on the list was The Book Nook Cabatuan, Isabela found in Luzon Elementary School. The NBDB team had a meeting with Book Nook Cabatuan's Area Coordinator, Aislynn Bermudez and the school's faculty. They then listened to a presentation on the various services provided by the NBDB and a refresher on the Book Nook Project.
After inspection of their Book Nook, the team then conducted a survey with present grade 5 and 6 students.

Ang Pagsulat ng Tula: Isang Yaman ng Hibla Lokal Palimbang

Sa gitna ng ating mayamang kultura sa Palimbang, ang pagsusulat ng tula ay isang gawaing nagbibigay-buhay sa ating mga salita at karanasan. Sa pamamagitan ng Hibla Lokal, ating natutuklasan ang kahalagahan nito, lalo na para sa mga batang mag-aaral ng San Roque Elementary School at mga paaralan mula sa Distrito ng Palimbang 2.

Ang tula ay hindi lamang mga salitang magkakatugma. Ito ay isang paraan upang maipahayag ang ating mga damdamin, kaisipan, at pangarap. Sa bawat taludtod, ating inilalarawan ang ganda ng ating kalikasan, ang lalim ng ating mga relasyon, at ang mga aral na ating natutunan.

Sa pamamagitan ng tula, natututo tayong maging mapanuri at malikhain. Hinahasa nito ang ating kakayahang umunawa at magpahalaga sa ating kapaligiran. Ang bawat salita ay nagiging isang himaymay na nagdurugtong sa atin sa ating kultura at kasaysayan.

Kaya naman, ang pagsusulat ng tula ay isang mahalagang yaman na dapat nating ipamana sa mga susunod na henerasyon. Sa Hibla Lokal, ating itinatampok ang kahalagahan nito upang ang bawat bata sa San Roque Elementary School at sa ibat ibang paaralan mula sa Distrito ng Palimbang 2 ay maging makata ng kanilang sariling buhay at kultura.

The 3rd Session of Hibla Lokal Book Nook Palimbang, themed "Crossroads for Knowledge: A Reading Journey Towards Safer Habits," buzzed with creative energy as it delved into the critical topic of road safety awareness by Vice Mayor Joenime B. Kapina.This session distinguished itself by employing hands-on "cut and paste" activities to educate young children, transforming learning into an engaging and memorable experience.

Upon entering the venue, the children were greeted by tables laden with colorful paper, safety scissors, glue sticks, and pre-cut images of traffic signs, vehicles, pedestrians, and road elements. The session kicked off with a brief introduction to road safety rules, emphasizing the importance of pedestrian lanes, traffic signals, and looking both ways before crossing.

The main activity involved creating personalized road safety collages. Each child received a large sheet of paper to design their own safe street scene. They carefully selected and pasted images of traffic lights showing the correct signals, pedestrians using crosswalks, and vehicles obeying traffic rules. Volunteers circulated, providing guidance and reinforcing the lessons as the children worked.

Interactive storytelling complemented the activity, with tales of characters who followed road safety rules and those who learned the hard way by not doing so. A highlight was the "Safe vs. Unsafe" sorting game, where children categorized images into two groups based on whether they depicted safe or unsafe road behaviors.

The cut and paste approach proved highly effective in capturing the children's attention and reinforcing their understanding of road safety concepts. By the end of the session, each child proudly displayed their unique road safety collage, a tangible reminder of the lessons learned. Instead of the usual shouts of children playing, a quiet anticipation hung in the air, a sense of something special about to unfold. "Hibla Lokal," a program designed to nurture local voices, was bringing the magic of storytelling and poem writing to the heart of the community.
As the sun began its descent, casting a warm glow through the library windows, the focus shifted to the art of poem writing. The children were encouraged to find inspiration in their surroundings – the blue sea, the vibrant colors of the local market, the laughter of their friends. With pencils in hand, they began to craft their own verses, transforming everyday observations into poignant expressions of emotion and imagination. Some wrote about the beauty of the sea, others about the joy of playing under the mango trees, and still others about the dreams they held for their community.

When the time came to share their creations, a wave of nervous excitement washed over the room. One by one, the children stepped forward, their voices trembling slightly as they recited their poems. Each verse was met with enthusiastic applause and words of encouragement, celebrating not just the talent on display, but the courage to express oneself.
