The Local Government Unit of Santa Fe, headed by Mayor Liwayway C. Caramat and Vice Mayor Tidong A. Benito together with the Sangguniang Bayan Members joins the observance of the 23rd Cerebral Palsy Awareness and Protection Week, held from September 16 to 22, 2026, with the theme “One Shared Voice, One Collective Choice: Advocacy ➜ Empowerment.”

The observance aims to raise awareness about cerebral palsy, promote understanding and acceptance, and highlight the importance of support, protection, and equal opportunities for persons with disabilities. It also encourages communities to work together in creating a more inclusive and supportive environment.

The LGU likewise supports the observance of the 23rd National Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Week, scheduled for the third week of October, as part of its continuing efforts to promote awareness, understanding, and support for individuals with ADHD and their families.

The Municipal Nutrition Committee (MNC) of Santa Fe, presided over by Hon. Liwayway C. Caramat, MNC Chairman, convened its 3rd Quarter Municipal Nutrition Committee Meeting on September 15, 2026, at the Function Hall, Municipal Compound, Santa Fe, Nueva Vizcaya.

The meeting brought together MNC members and heads of municipal offices to discuss and report on concerns and matters raised during the previous quarter, while also taking up current nutrition-related programs, activities, and other concerns requiring coordination among concerned offices.

The meeting served as an opportunity for the Committee to review the Municipality’s nutrition initiatives, address concerns, and strengthen coordination in carrying out programs that promote proper nutrition and the health and well-being of the Santa Fe community

LGU SANTA FE RECOGNIZED BY DOST REGION 02 FOR PARTNERSHIP IN SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, AND INNOVATION

The Municipal Government of Santa Fe, Nueva Vizcaya, under the leadership of Mayor Hon. Liwayway C. Caramat, was honored with a Plaque of Recognition by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Region 02 in recognition of its invaluable partnership and steadfast commitment to advancing science, technology, and innovation in Cagayan Valley.

The recognition highlights the Municipality’s partnership with DOST Region 02 and Nueva Vizcaya State University (NVSU) in implementing community-based smart agriculture and technology-enabled livelihood initiatives. Through these collaborative efforts, science, technology, and innovation are being utilized to support local initiatives and promote sustainable community development. Mr. Emmanuel Caramat represented Mayor Caramat and the Municipal Government of Santa Fe during the recognition.

The award was presented during the 2026 Cagayan Valley Regional Science, Technology, and Innovation Week in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, underscoring LGU Santa Fe’s continuing efforts to embrace innovative solutions, strengthen community initiatives, and contribute to the development of more sustainable and resilient communities.

𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗛𝗡𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗕𝗨𝗗𝗚𝗘𝗧 𝗛𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗙𝗜𝗦𝗖𝗔𝗟 𝗬𝗘𝗔𝗥 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳

The Local Finance Council, together with the Local Government Unit of Santa Fe, headed by Mayor Liwayway C. Caramat and Vice Mayor Tidong A. Benito held the Technical Budget Hearing for Fiscal Year 2027 on September 10, 2026, at Forest Park, Baliling, Santa Fe, with the participation of our Sannguniang Bayan members, and Heads of Municipal offices and their respective staff.

The hearing provided an opportunity to discuss and review the proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2027, including the programs, projects, activities, and corresponding financial requirements of the various offices of the municipality.
The activity emphasized the importance of proper budget planning, fiscal responsibility, and strategic allocation of public funds to ensure that the municipality's resources are directed toward priority programs and services for the benefit of the Santa Fe community.

𝗟𝗚𝗨 𝗦𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗔 𝗙𝗘 𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗗𝗦 “𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗬 𝗦𝗔 𝗕𝗔𝗬𝗔𝗡” 𝗦𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗥 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗦𝗙𝗟𝗚𝗘𝗔 𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦

The Local Government Unit of Santa Fe, led by Mayor Liwayway C. Caramat, together with Vice Mayor Tidong A. Benito, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, LGU employees, and the Santa Fe Local Government Employees Association (SFLEGEA), conducted the “Alay sa Bayan” Seminar and SFLEGEA Elections on September 9, 2026, at the Regional Evacuation Center, Forest Park, Consuelo, Baliling, Santa Fe, Nueva Vizcaya.

Held in celebration of the 126th Civil Service Month and SFLEGEA Anniversary, the seminar featured Ms. Cristina S. Gurat, Training Specialist IV of R2TMC, Nueva Vizcaya, as the trainer-facilitator. She led discussions focused on professional growth, teamwork, and dedication to public service.

The activity also included the SFLEGEA Elections, providing employees an opportunity to choose their new officers and strengthen their organization.

Santa Fe Education Summit 2026 on September 9, 2026 at the Convention Hall, Forest Park, Baliling, Santa Fe, carrying the theme “LEARN • COLLABORATE • TRANSFORM for a Brighter Tomorrow.” Headed by Mayor Liwayway C. Caramat, together with Vice Mayor Tidong A. Benito, convened with the DepEd School District of Santa Fe, headed by Sir Arnel M. Batalla, DIC, members of the Local School Board, School Heads, Barangay Captains, Barangay Kagawad Education Committee, SK Chairpersons, Teachers, SELG President, PTA President, SSLG President, GPTA Officers, and learners.

The summit placed literacy and numeracy at the center of discussions, providing a venue for stakeholders to examine assessment updates, learning interventions, and strategies aimed at improving learners’ academic outcomes. A highlight of the program was the presentation of Hon. Eddie Tiongson, Vice Mayor of Solano, who shared the Synergia Initiatives on Literacy and Numeracy. Discussions also underscored the importance of legislation, collaboration, and community participation in addressing the evolving educational needs of learners.

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Santa Fe, under the leadership of Mayor Liwayway C. Caramat, Vice Mayor Tidong A. Benito, and the Sangguniang Bayan Members, Hon. Eddie Caramat Jr., Hon. Wycliff Dulawan, Hon. Lovely Wowie Petonio, Hon. Sario Kipot, Hon. Langley Bautista, Hon. Jose Balasuit, Hon. Kenneth John Lawrence Laguda, and Hon. Domingo Serafin, held the Opening Program of the 126th Annual Celebration of Civil Service Commission (CSC) Month and the SFLGEA Anniversary on September 7, 2026.

The celebration brought together LGU employees and representatives from various national government agencies, including the DILG, PNP, and BFP, in recognition of the vital role of public servants in promoting responsive, efficient, and dedicated government service.

With the theme, “Bawat Kawani, Lingkod Bayani: Puso, Dangal, at Galing Para sa Bayan,” the celebration highlights the invaluable contributions of government employees and their commitment to serving the public with dedication, integrity, excellence, and a genuine spirit of public service.

As Mayor Liway says: "TANDAAN NATIN: Ang trabaho natin ay hindi lang papel. Ito ay buhay ng tao. Ang puwesto natin ay hindi pribelehiyo, ito ay tiwala ng publiko. Kaya patuloy tayong magbigay ng serbisyong tapat, serbisyong may malasakit, serbisyon para sa tao."

Sa pangunguna ng ating Punong Bayan, Liwayway C. Caramat, isinagawa noong Agosto 20, 2026, sa People’s Hall, Municipal Compound, Santa Fe, Nueva Vizcaya, ang Pre-Disaster Risk Assessment (PDRA) na pinangunahan ng Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) sa pamumuno ni Ginoong Bengio W. Segundo, EnP, kasama ang mga Punong Barangay mula sa iba’t ibang barangay ng Santa Fe.

Layunin ng naturang assessment na talakayin at suriin ang mga posibleng panganib, kahandaan, at kinakailangang hakbang ng bawat barangay bilang bahagi ng paghahanda sa mga maaaring mangyaring kalamidad o emergency. Naging bahagi rin ng talakayan ang pagbabahagi ng mahahalagang impormasyon at pagtukoy sa mga kinakailangang hakbang upang mapalakas ang disaster preparedness at response ng bawat barangay.

Sa pamamagitan ng pakikipagtulungan ng MDRRMO, mga Punong Barangay, at iba pang katuwang na tanggapan ng Pamahalaang Bayan, patuloy na isinusulong ng LGU Santa Fe ang mas maagap, organisado, at koordinadong paghahanda para sa kaligtasan at kapakanan ng mga mamamayan.

Benito, isinagawa noong Agosto 20, 2026, sa People’s Hall, Municipal Compound, Santa Fe, Nueva Vizcaya, ang Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity (MR-SIA) Updates, na pinangunahan ng Municipal Health Office (MHO) sa pamumuno ni Dr. Ernesto Robancho at dinaluhan ng mga Punong Barangay mula sa iba’t ibang barangay ng Santa Fe.

Tinalakay sa pagpupulong ang mahahalagang updates at mga kinakailangang hakbang para sa maayos na pagpapatupad ng Measles-Rubella Supplemental Immunization Activity sa bawat barangay. Layunin ng aktibidad na palakasin ang koordinasyon ng MHO at mga pamahalaang barangay upang matiyak ang episyente at organisadong paghahatid ng serbisyong pagbabakuna sa mga kwalipikadong benepisyaryo.

Binigyang-diin sa naturang aktibidad ang kahalagahan ng aktibong pakikiisa ng mga barangay sa pagpapatupad ng programa bilang bahagi ng sama-samang hakbang ng Pamahalaang Bayan ng Santa Fe upang maprotektahan ang mga bata at komunidad.
