𝗣𝗔𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗟𝗔 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗔 𝗦𝗔 𝗣𝗔𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗔!

Kaninang umaga, naitala ng Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS-DOST) ang isang moderately explosive eruption sa Bulkang Kanlaon sa Isla ng Negros. Dahil dito, kumalat ang abo mula sa bulkan sa iba't ibang bahagi ng Kabisayaan na maaring maka-apekto at maka-pinsala sa kalusugan at mga ari-arian. Kasama na dito ang banta nito sa ating mga Pamana.

Upang mas maging handa sa sitwasyong ito, narito ang ilang paalala mula sa NHCP - Materials Research Conservation Division para ating mga manggagawa sa pamana.

Earlier today, the Philippine Institute on Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) recorded a moderately explosive eruption from Mt. Kanlaon on Negros Island. Due to this eruption, volcanic ash has spread throughout several parts of the Visayas region that could cause health issues and damage to property. These includes irreparable damage to heritage.

To help our citizens in facing this challenge, here are some reminders and tips from our NHCP Materials Research Conservation Division, especially for our Heritage Workers!

The NHCP Museo ni Miguel Malvar, together with the City Government of Sto. Tomas under the leadership of City Mayor Arth Jhun A. Marasigan, the Philippine National Police, and the Bureau of Fire Protection, joins the nation in commemorating the 128th Anniversary of the Proclamation of Philippine Independence today.

Earlier this morning, a simple yet meaningful program and flag-raising ceremony were held at the Malvar Historical Landmark to honor the courage, patriotism, and sacrifices of the Filipino heroes who fought for the country’s freedom. As we celebrate this historic occasion, may we continue to uphold the values of unity, patriotism, and service that inspire us to build a stronger and more progressive nation. 🇵🇭
