SPECIAL WEATHER OUTLOOK ON THE OBSERVANCE OF SEMANA SANTA 2026 (30 March – 05 April 2026)

The weather systems that are expected to affect the country during Holy Week or Semana Santa are the Easterlies and the Ridge of High Pressure Area (HPA).

The public is advised to avoid physical outdoor activities between 10:00 in the morning and 4:00 in the afternoon.

To avoid fatigue, heat cramps, and heat exhaustion:
✅Drink water regularly 💧
✅Take breaks in shaded areas 🌳
✅Wear light-colored clothing 👕
✅Use sun protection (hats or umbrellas) 🧢☂️
🚫Avoid alcohol and caffeine as much as possible 🍺☕

Aabot sa kabuuang 1,646 na sunud-sunod na mahihina hanggang sa may katamtamang lakas na mga lindol ang naitala ng DOST-PHIVOLCS simula noong 10:52 PM ng 19 Enero 2026 hanggang 4:00 PM ng 28 Enero 2026 sa paligid ng Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat. Sa mga ito, 507 ay plotted na may lakas mula magnitude 1.1 hanggang magnitude 5.9, samantalang 63 naman ang naramdaman at naitala na may katumbas na intensity.

PAALALA: Laging maging handa sa mga lindol at gawin ang DUCK, COVER, and HOLD. Pinaalalahanan din ang mga nasa baybayin na maging alerto sa mga senyales ng paparating na lokal na tsunami - SHAKE o malakas na lindol; DROP o biglaang pagbabago sa antas ng tubig-dagat; at ROAR o kakaibang tunog tulad ng dagundong ng papalapit na alon. Kapag naobserbahan ang alinman sa mga ito ay AGAD na LUMIKAS patungo sa mataas na lugar o papalayo sa dagat!

CLASSES IN ALL LEVELS ARE SUSPENDED TOMORROW, NOVEMBER 10, 2025.

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT | CLASS SUSPENSION NOTICE

Governor Datu Ali M. Midtimbang has issued Executive Order No. 032, Series of 2025, declaring the suspension of classes in all levels, both public and private, throughout the Province of Maguindanao del Sur on November 10, 2025 (Monday) due to the continuous adverse weather conditions brought by Typhoon “Uwan.”

The Provincial Government reminds everyone to remain vigilant and prioritize safety amid the ongoing heavy rains and possible flooding in low-lying areas.

All concerned LGUs, school administrators, and agencies are directed to monitor official weather updates and advisories.
