Is it the planet that needs human or is it human that needs the planet?

While human has become the ultimate destroyer of the Earth, it fails to remember that it is the only home that they have. The way they live is a reflection of how they treat their planet.

This Earth Day, let us all be encouraged to take part in protecting our one and only home. Switching the notion that we are the ultimate destroyer into the unmatchable protector of Earth.

Take a leap each day, while not forgetting to be good and responsible in living towards our environment because that is how we protect.

As one of the world’s most biodiverse countries, containing two-thirds of the Earth’s biodiversity and between 70% and 80% of the world’s plant and animal species (Convention on Biological Diversity), the Philippines is not new to environmental exploitation.

However, this business-as-usual pattern of activity is projected to increase the vulnerability of our country. The latest report from the United Nations' Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) highlights that there is no better time to take sustainable actions than now.

For this year’s Environment Month, the Provincial Government of Sarangani is one with our nation in taking transformative response to our environmental issues. With the theme “𝗔𝗸𝘀𝘆𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗼” we recognize that we only have one Earth, and we encourage every Filipino to take better daily decisions and be more connected with nature.
