Their participation reflects the shared commitment of the local government units and partner agencies in advancing programs and services that directly benefit coconut farmers and their communities.
The meeting highlights the commitment of PCA and CDA to strengthen collaboration with local government units in implementing the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP). The CFIDP is a 50-year national development program established under Republic Act No. 11524, also known as the "Coconut Farmers and Industry Trust Fund Act". It aims to improve the lives of coconut farmers by increasing farm productivity, promoting value-adding activities, strengthening cooperatives, and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities through the responsible use of the Coconut Farmers and Industry Trust Fund.
Through the support of our local government partners, the CFIDP can effectively reach coconut farmers, ensuring that development programs, capacity-building activities, farm inputs, and livelihood assistance are delivered where they are needed most. Strong partnerships are key to building a more productive, resilient, and globally competitive coconut industry.
Together, let us continue working hand in hand in creating a brighter future for every coconut farmer and their families.
"Every coconut tree is a symbol of hope. With unity, dedication, and the right support, our farmers will not only grow better harvests. They will cultivate a better future for generations to come."
