Municipal Mayor, Hon. January C. Padpad, together with PESO Manager, Ms. Rosehane R. Jontilano, attended the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing Ceremony and Convergence on Programs and Services for the Anti-Illegal Recruitment and Trafficking in Persons (AIRTIP) Campaign held on June 9, 2026 at the EBJ Gym, Binirayan Hills, San Jose, Antique.

The activity gathered national government agencies, local government units, and partner organizations in a unified effort to strengthen awareness, prevention, and protection measures against illegal recruitment and human trafficking. The event also highlighted the presentation of programs and services available for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and their families.

Through this partnership, the Municipality of Sebaste reaffirms its commitment to safeguarding the welfare of its constituents by promoting safe, legal, and informed employment opportunities while supporting initiatives that combat human trafficking and illegal recruitment.

The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Sebaste, in partnership with DOLE-TUPAD, successfully conducted the pay-out for 180 beneficiaries, providing essential financial assistance to help support their daily needs and livelihood.

This DOLE-TUPAD pay-out highlights the government’s continuing commitment to delivering emergency employment and financial support to individuals in need. Through this initiative, the LGU ensures that timely assistance reaches the community, especially those striving to sustain their households.

In line with the observance of Solo Parent Week, tokens of appreciation were also distributed to solo parents in recognition of their strength, resilience, and invaluable contribution to the community.

The LGU remains committed to promoting inclusive and people-centered programs that uplift the welfare and well-being of every sector, fostering a more supportive and empowered community for all.
