The discussion led by JCSUPT FULGENCIO of the BJMP, We the PNP cadets gained invaluable insights into financial literacy, learning that sound financial management is important not only for our personal well-being but also for maintaining professional integrity throughout our law enforcement careers. We discovered how understanding budgeting, investments, and debt management can prevent financial vulnerabilities that could compromise their ethical standards while in service. Furthermore, we grasped the importance of long-term financial planning for retirement, recognizing that proactive savings and investment strategies are essential for a secure and comfortable post-service life, ensuring we can transition smoothly and maintain our dignity after dedicating years to public service. He also emphasize the things to do:
EARN - SAVE - INVEST
1. Take a look at your beliefs, see if there are any that are out of alignment;
2. Clarify/decide what you value most in life and spend your money in accordance with it;
3. Commit to build a solid financial foundation by saving a inimum of 10 percent of your income;
4. Make money work for your through the help of different investment vehicle;
5. Continue to educate yourself.
