H.E.A.R.T to Heart Talk | Adolescent Counseling ❤️
Every young person deserves a safe space where they can be heard without judgment and guided with accurate information.
Today, I had the opportunity to conduct a H.E.A.R.T to Heart Talk with a young couple, accompanied by the young woman's mother, to discuss responsible decision-making, life goals, and the importance of continuing their education. While we cannot always choose the decisions that others make, we can always choose to guide them with compassion, respect, and evidence-based information.
Our teenage couple willingly chose Progestin Subdermal Implant after a thorough FP Counseling.
One of the key messages from today's counseling is this: Your dreams don't have to end because of love. Finish your education, build your future, and make informed choices that protect your health and your aspirations.
For adolescents who are already sexually active, seeking guidance and learning about family planning is not about encouraging early relationships—it is about preventing unintended pregnancy, protecting health, and helping young people stay in school so they can continue pursuing their dreams.
My heartfelt gratitude to Ma'am Faith Sorronda for identifying and referring this couple for counseling. We were able to prevent possible teenage pregnancy because of your prompt action.

Curato, whose unwavering support and passion continue to inspire us to serve our adolescents with empathy and dedication.
To every young person reading this: Love can wait, but your dreams should never stop. Choose wisely, stay in school, seek guidance when you need it, and remember that every informed decision you make today shapes a brighter tomorrow. 💙🌱
