SUPPLEMENTAL STATEMENT
In light of a circulating social media post involving a residentโs claim regarding an alleged lack of assistance at the Municipal Health Office, we find it necessary to clarify the facts and provide proper context to the situation.
We would like to emphasize that the Municipal Health Office (MHO) strictly operates from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily, from Monday to Sunday. Based on verified records, the alleged patient was brought to the facility at 9:41 PM, which is clearly beyond the official operating hours of the clinic.
At that time, no doctors, nurses, or pharmacists were on duty, as services requiring their expertise are only available within the prescribed clinic hours. The personnel present during late hours are midwives assigned exclusively to the 24/7 operation of the Birthing Center.
It must be emphasized that these midwives are not authorized to manage or attend to medical emergencies not related to pregnancy and childbirth, especially life-threatening conditions, without the supervision or direct order of a physician. Their scope of responsibility is limited to maternal and newborn care within the Birthing Center.
Furthermore, we reiterate that the Municipal Health Office (MHO) is not a hospital. It is not equipped nor mandated to provide full-scale emergency or inpatient hospital services, particularly beyond its operational hours.
Despite these limitations, the Local Government Unit of Solana continues to exert maximum effort to provide accessible, responsive, and quality healthcare services to the community. In fact, this MHO is the only one in the provinceโand possibly in the regionโthat operates daily from Monday to Sunday, 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM. The facility is staffed with four (4) doctors, two (2) dentists, nurses, and is the only MHO in the province with an available pharmacists, all dedicated to improve service delivery for the people.
We likewise call on the public to exercise responsibility in sharing information. We strongly urge everyone to avoid making unfounded and derogatory statements without full knowledge of the context and factual circumstances, as these may mislead the public and undermine the integrity of the Local Government Unit and its personnel. While constructive feedback is welcome, it must be grounded in truth and conveyed through appropriate channels.
We remain committed to serve the public within our capacity and mandate, and we continue to strive for improvements that will benefit the community.
Thank you for your understanding and continued cooperation.
