The suspect, identified as a 28-year-old single male, currently privately employed and a resident of Purok 1, Barangay Osmeña, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya, was arrested for the crime of R**e, pursuant to a warrant of arrest issued by the competent court.

Solano Police Station together with PIU/PDEU as lead unit, together with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEG) successfully arrested a Most Wanted Person during the conduct of law enforcement operation within the Municipality of Solano, Nueva Vizcaya.

The operation resulted in the successful arrest of alyas “Ricric,” 41-year-old male listed as a Street Level Individual (SLI) and resident of Barangay Quirino, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya for violation of Article II, Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act No. 9165. Further, the arrested wanted person was informed of his constitutional rights in compliance with the Miranda Doctrine and is now under the custody of Solano Police Station prior to turnover to the issuing court.

WANTED PERSON NABBED FOR ESTAFA IN SOLANO

Personnel of the Solano Police Starion successfully arrested a wanted person during the conduct of police operation within the Municipality of Solano.

The arrested suspect was identified as a laborer and resident of Purok 2, Brgy. Concepcion, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya. The accused was apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by the court for the crime of Estafa. The operation was carried out through the intensified campaign against wanted persons in line with the continuing efforts of the police to maintain peace and order in the community.

The accused was informed of the nature of his arrest and constitutional rights in a language known and understood by him. Thereafter, the arrested person was brought to the custodial facility of Solano Police Station for proper documentation and disposition prior to turnover to the issuing court.

ANTI-ILLEGAL DRUG OPERATION YIELDS ARREST AND SEIZURE OF ‘SHABU’ IN SOLANO

Operatives of Solano Police Station successfully conducted an anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation on the evening of May 1, 2026, resulting in the apprehension of a 57-year-old former security guard and the seizure of suspected Methamphetamine Hydrochloride, locally known as "shabu."

The operation, conducted took place Purok 4, Barangay Osmeña. The mission resulted in the apprehension of a 57-year-old male resident and former security guard.

During the controlled purchase, a designated Poseur Buyer (PB) successfully bought three (3) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be Methamphetamine Hydrochloride, commonly known as “shabu.” The seized items have a total estimated weight of 0.902 grams, with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of ₱6,133.60.

Following the transaction, the pre-arranged signal was given, leading to the immediate arrest of the suspect. A subsequent search yielded a brown leather wallet containing three ₱1,000 bills used as buy-bust money.

In strict adherence to Section 21 of Republic Act 9165, the marking and inventory of the evidence were performed immediately at the place of arrest.

The suspect and the confiscated evidence are currently in the custody of the Solano Police Station for proper documentation and the filing of charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 (The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

ROAD RAGE INCIDENT LEADS TO SHOOTING; SUSPECT ARRESTED IN SWIFT SOLANO PNP OPERATION

The Solano Municipal Police Station successfully apprehended a 59-year-old retired military person following a shooting incident on April 14, 2026.

Initial investigations reveal that the victim was driving a motorized tricycle while the suspect was operating a Hyundai Starex traveling in the opposite direction. Due to the limited space, the two vehicles accidentally brushed against each other, sparking a heated verbal altercation.

The situation escalated when the suspect disembarked from his vehicle, drew a firearm, and fired at the victim. Despite the victim’s attempt to wrestle the weapon away, he sustained gunshot wounds to his left hand, left foot, and abdomen. The suspect then fled the scene, while the victim was rushed to the Region II Trauma and Medical Center (R2TMC) in Bayombong for urgent medical treatment.

Responding units from the Solano MPS and the Nueva Vizcaya Forensic Field Unit recovered four (4) fired 9mm cartridges at the scene. A subsequent hot pursuit operation, conducted under the guidance of PCOL PAUL BOMETIVO, Provincial Director, led to the arrest of the suspect at a relative’s house in Purok 4, Barangay Bascaran. The suspect surrendered a Cal. 9mm competition race pistol but failed to provide legal documentation for the firearm.

The suspect is currently detained at Solano Municipal Police Station pending inquest proceedings for Frustrated Homicide and Violation of Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Fi****ms and Ammunition Regulation Act).

PCOL BOMETIVO emphasized that the swift arrest demonstrates the strong coordination and responsiveness of police units in the province. He reiterated that the NVPPO will continue to intensify law enforcement operations and urged the public to exercise restraint and immediately seek police assistance in resolving disputes to prevent violence.

JOINT POLICE OPERATION DISMANTLES ILLEGAL ONLINE E-SABONG HUB IN SOLANO; 26 ARRESTED

In a decisive blow against illegal gambling, joint law enforcement units led by the Solano Municipal Police Station dismantled an unauthorized online E-Sabong operation on the afternoon of April 12, 2026, resulting in the arrest of 26 suspects.

The operation, spearheaded by PMAJ JOHN ANTHONY S SANCHEZ, Chief of Police, was conducted under the guidance of PCOL PAUL T BOMETIVO, Provincial Director and initiated following a direct directive from PGEN JOSE MELENCIO NARTATEZ JR., Chief of the PNP. The high-level alert was triggered after intelligence surfaced including video evidence showing illegal online cockfighting activities being broadcasted from the Solano Cockpit Arena in Barangay Roxas.

A composite team including the Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit (RACU2), CIDG, and the 1st NVPMFC descended upon the arena. Upon entry, operatives witnessed a large crowd engaged in betting through designated teller booths and computer terminals.Tactical inspection by joint units confirmed the presence of a sophisticated computer setup used to facilitate and stream the illegal E-Sabong matches online.

Authorities recovered a substantial amount of gambling paraphernalia and technical equipment used in the commission of the crime, including Php 616,250.00 in cold cash (bet money); 17 sets of computers with various accessories; 4 internet routers and 2 large LED monitors and 5 cellular phones and a transparent ziplock bag containing game tickets and bet receipts.

The 26 suspects were apprised of their constitutional rights under the Miranda Doctrine in a language understood by them and were subsequently taken into custody. They are facing charges for Violation of Presidential Decree 1602 (Illegal Gambling) in relation to Republic Act 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012).

"This successful operation is a testament to the PNP's commitment to eradicating illegal gambling in all its forms, especially those that exploit technology to bypass our laws," said PMAJ SANCHEZ. "We are acting on direct orders to ensure that no such 'underground' online platforms operate within our jurisdiction."

PCOL BOMETIVO emphasized that the Nueva Vizcaya Police Provincial Office will sustain intensified intelligence-driven and cyber-focused operations against illegal online gambling. He further stressed that all units under NVPPO are directed to strictly monitor cockpit arenas and other possible venues being used for unauthorized online betting activities, warning that violators will be dealt with accordingly under existing laws.

This successful operation underscores the Philippine National Police’s unwavering commitment to eradicating all forms of illegal gambling, particularly those utilizing digital platforms to circumvent the law.

SOLANO POLICE NAB TWO MOST WANTED PERSONS IN SEPARATE OPERATIONS

The Solano Municipal Police Station successfully apprehended two individuals with outstanding warrants in separate manhunt operations conducted recently, highlighting the station’s intensified campaign against wanted persons.

The first operation led to the arrest of a a businessman and resident of Brgy. Quirino, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya for the Violation of Batas Pambansa Bilang 881 (Omnibus Election Code) in relation to COMELEC Resolution No. 11067. The suspect, whose identity is being withheld pending further legal proceedings, was taken into custody by virtue of a warrant issued by the Presiding Judge of RTC Second Judicial Region, Branch 29, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.

In a subsequent operation, Solano PNP personnel arrested another individual a self-employed resident of Brgy. Osmeña, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya facing charges for the Crime of Acts of Lasciviousness, as defined under Article 336 of the Revised Penal Code (RPC). The successful service of the warrant of arrest ensures that the accused will now face the judicial process.

Both suspects are currently under the custody of the Solano Municipal Police Station for proper documentation and disposition before being turned over to the courts of origin.
