📢 PUBLIC HEARING | AUGUST 19, 2026
The Sangguniang Bayan of Libagon successfully conducted a Public Hearing on August 19, 2026, at the Kawayan Covered Court, Brgy. Kawayan, Libagon, Southern Leyte, providing an opportunity for our constituents to voice their comments, concerns, suggestions, and recommendations on various proposed municipal ordinances.
The proposed measures discussed during the hearing include:
1️⃣ A proposed Ordinance Declaring Pangi Dapanas Sunset Bay As An Eco-Tourism Site In The Municipality Of Libagon, Providing Penalties And Appropriating Funds Thereof.

2️⃣ A proposed Ordinance prohibiting the Lenders/Financier and Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program (4P’s) of Libagon, Southern Leyte from engaging in gambling, and pawning of Cash Card as Loan Collateral and other false representation or undertaking and providing penalties for evaluations thereof.

3️⃣ A proposed ordinance declaring October 16 of every year as the Official Founding Day of the Municipality of Libagon, Southern Leyte, providing for its Annual Commemoration and appropriating funds therefor.

4️⃣ A proposed Ordinance Regulating the operation of Videokes, VCD’s, DVD’s, and other Sound System as herein-above mentioned whether for Commercial and/or Private use.

5️⃣A proposed Ordinance imposing Curfew Hour from 10:00 PM to 4:00 AM to all minors ages below 18 Years old throughout the Municipality of Libagon.

6️⃣ A proposed Ordinance prohibiting the Act of being Topless or Half-Naked in Public Places.
