The 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮 𝘽𝙤𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙤𝙛 𝙉𝙪𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘿𝙞𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙨, 𝙩𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙛𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙍𝙚𝙜𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 (𝙋𝙍𝘾), conducted an inspection and monitoring of the ZCMC Nutrition and Dietetics Department on January 19, 2026.

The Board and PRC representatives paid a courtesy call to 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐟𝐝𝐚𝐥 𝐊𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠. The activity assessed compliance with professional, clinical, and regulatory standards and provided a venue to discuss emerging concerns in clinical nutrition practice.

Present during the inspection and monitoring were 𝘏𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘐𝘮𝘦𝘭𝘥𝘢 𝘈𝘯𝘨𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘈𝘨𝘥𝘦𝘱𝘱𝘢, Member of the Professional Regulatory Board of Nutrition and Dietetics; 𝘏𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘳𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘑𝘰𝘺 𝘙𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘴-𝘉𝘶𝘦𝘯𝘷𝘪𝘢𝘫𝘦, Member of the Professional Regulatory Board of Nutrition and Dietetics; together with the PRC Zamboanga Representative, 𝘚𝘪𝘳 𝘈𝘣𝘥𝘶𝘭𝘭𝘢, 𝘋𝘳. 𝘑𝘢𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘒𝘳𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳 𝘛. 𝘗𝘶𝘯𝘻𝘢𝘭𝘢𝘯, 𝘊𝘩𝘪𝘦𝘧 𝘕𝘶𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵-𝘋𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘯 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘚𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘴, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘕𝘶𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵-𝘋𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘴 of Zamboanga City Medical Center.

The activity concluded successfully, reaffirming the department’s commitment to regulatory compliance and quality nutrition care.

We are proud to recognize Ms. Gly Ramillano for successfully completing the 𝙋𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘 𝘿𝙞𝙙𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙍𝙉𝘿𝙨 𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙧𝙚𝙣’𝙨 𝙈𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧, with 600 hours in Pediatric Medical Nutrition.

This training will help further strengthen the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) in pediatric patient management and nutrition training in Zamboanga City Medical Center ZCMC Nutrition and Dietetics Service.

This well-earned achievement reflects hard work, commitment, and dedication to pediatric care.

This recognition strengthens our dedication to providing safe, clean, and culturally respectful meals for our patients, staff, and community.

Zamboanga City Medical Center proudly announces the recertification of our Hospital Kitchen by the Basilan Ulama Supreme Council Foundation, Inc. – Halal Certifying Board (BUSCFI-HCB).

We are excited to kick off the 51st Nutrition Month this July with the theme: “Sa PPAN Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat” and sub-theme: “Food at Nutrition Security, Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin.” This calls for action to ensure nutritious food for all.

The Nutrition and Dietetics Department has lined up activities: Weekly Wednesday nutrition counseling (1–2 PM), BMI and diet counseling on July 14, KADIWA on Wheels (July 15–18), and the REEL NutriSnack video contest. Culminating activity on July 28.

Join us as we promote good nutrition—everyone’s right and responsibility. Together, let’s make this month meaningful and impactful!

In 2024, USAID, CRS Philippines, and KOICA Philippines organized an urban resilience forum. Zamboanga City Medical Center won recognition in the Innovations for Resilience Challenge for producing biodiesel from used cooking oil, enhancing climate resilience. The Philippine Coconut Authority-Zamboanga Research Center provided invaluable support for the project's success.
