On 24 September 2026, the 23rd Mechanized Infantry (EXPLORER) Company participated in the Bloodletting Activity organized by the BLGU of Brgy Midtapok in partnership with the Sultan Kudarat Provincial Hospital Mobile Blood Donation Team, held at Brgy Midtapok, Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat.

The activity was participated by 1LT ROY MANUEL A PELIJO (ARM) PA, Commanding Officer, together with Hon. Bryner Ian Balaba Diones, Barangay Chairperson, residents of Brgy Midtapok, and healthcare professionals.

Through this initiative, the EXPLORER Company continues to support humanitarian efforts, promote volunteerism, and strengthen community partnerships.

On 24 September 2026, the 23rd Mechanized Infantry (EXPLORER) Company actively participated in a Community Clean-Up Drive at Brgy Bulod, Sultan sa Barongis, Maguindanao del Sur, in coordination with the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) and local residents.

The activity was conducted under the supervision of 1LT ROY MANUEL A. PELIJO (ARM) PA, Commanding Officer, with one (1) Mechanized Team led by 1LT JOFER JOHN N. DAGUINOTAN (ARM) PA, Executive Officer, and 2LT JONEL BAUTISTA (ARM) PA, Platoon Leader, together with Hon. Abdullah Biang, Barangay Chairman of Brgy Bulod, BLGU, and other residents.

The clean-up drive aimed to promote cleanliness, environmental responsibility, and community cooperation, while strengthening the partnership between the Philippine Army and the local community.

Through active community involvement and sustained engagement, the EXPLORER Company continues to support local initiatives that contribute to a cleaner, safer, and more resilient community.

On 23 September 2026, the 23rd Mechanized Infantry (EXPLORER) Company participated in the Mobile Health Services conducted by the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) in coordination with the Local Government Unit of General Salipada K. Pendatun (GSKP), held at the Training Center, Municipal Compound, Brgy Badak, GSKP, Maguindanao del Sur.

Representing the Explorer Company was 1LT JOFERJOHN N DAGUINOTAN (ARM) PA, Executive Officer, together with PLT SAMER U KASAN, PNP OIC, SPOS ZUHARTO M DALANDAS, Acting Fire Marshal, DATUMANONG U. PENDI, OMRAN P. OTTO, L-Agriculture, ATTY. SAIRA MAE S. MAKAKENA, MBA, CHRA, Municipal Administrator, ABDULADZIS A. GUIAMAN, PCA BARMM, MDS, and DR. RENALYN D. MASUKAT, Municipal Health Officer.

The activity provided essential health services and assistance to approximately 300 coconut farmers and their families, strengthening access to healthcare and promoting the well-being of the local agricultural community.

The participation of the EXPLORER Company reflects the Philippine Army’s continued commitment to supporting government agencies and local stakeholders in initiatives that promote community welfare, public service, and inclusive development.

On 23 September 2026, the 23rd Mechanized Infantry (EXPLORER) Company actively participated in the 3rd Quarter Cluster Meeting of the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC), Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC), Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC), and Municipal Ecological Solid Waste Management Board (MESWMB) headed by Hon Allandatu Angas, Municipal Mayor, SSB, MDS, held at the Sultan sa Barongis Training Center, Municipal Compound, Sultan sa Barongis, Maguindanao del Sur.

Representing the unit were 1LT ROY MANUEL A PELIJO (ARM) PA, Commanding Officer together with 2LT JONEL BAUTISTA (ARM) PA, Platoon Leader, together with representatives from the local government, SSB MPS, Bureau of Fire Protection, municipal offices, Sangguniang Bayan members, and Barangay Chairpersons.

The meeting served as a platform for coordination, information sharing, and the discussion of peace and security, anti-drug initiatives, disaster preparedness and response, environmental protection, and other community concerns affecting the municipality.

The active participation of the EXPLORER Company highlights the Philippine Army’s commitment to strengthening collaboration with local government units and community stakeholders. On 21 September 2026, the 23rd Mechanized Infantry (EXPLORER) Company proudly participated in the Culmination Activity of Linggo ng Kabataan 2026, held at the Sultan sa Barongis Municipal Gymnasium, Sultan sa Barongis, Maguindanao del Sur.

Representing the unit was 1LT ROY MANUEL A. PELIJO (ARM) PA, Commanding Officer, together with 2LT JONEL BAUTISTA (ARM) PA, Platoon Leader; and 2LT DELA PINA (ARM) PA, Platoon Leader, Alpha Company, 34IB.

The activity was also graced by Hon. Allandatu M. Angas Sr., Municipal Mayor; Hon. PrinceAlJofner M. Angas Sr., Municipal Vice Mayor; Ms. Eshnayra D. Ayob, Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO); SFOF Abdulbayan S. Haron, BFP, Sultan sa Barongis; Hon. Ryzza Aliana A. Yasin, LPT, SK Federation President; Esmail L. Duma, RSW, Local Youth Development Officer; and other youth participants and community stakeholders.

The culmination activity highlighted the talent, energy, leadership, and potential of the Filipino youth, while strengthening the spirit of unity and cooperation among the youth, local government, security forces, and community partners.

🇵🇭 PREPAREDNESS IN ACTION. UNITY IN RESPONSE.

On 18 September 2026, the 23rd Mechanized Infantry (EXPLORER) Company participated in the first-ever National Simultaneous School Safety Drill for Active Attack Incidents, with Lambayong National High School, Brgy Poblacion, Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat, serving as the ceremonial venue.

Representing the unit were 1LT JOFER JOHN N. DAGUINOTAN (ARM) PA, Executive Officer, and 2LT JONEL BAUTISTA (ARM) PA, Platoon Leader, alongside Mark Carlo D. Buyao, SEPS, Keynote Speaker; Mr. Abdula Salisip, PhD, Principal of Lambayong National High School; PMAJ JAYSON ORTEGA- COP, Lambayong MPS; Engr. Sherwin S. De Guzman, Head, Lambayong MDRRMO; school heads, teachers, students, and personnel from the Lambayong MPS, BFP, and MDRRMO.

The landmark activity brought together key stakeholders to strengthen preparedness, enhance emergency response, and reinforce coordination in protecting learners and school communities during critical incidents.

The participation of the Philippine Army, PNP, BFP, MDRRMO, and the education sector underscores a shared commitment to creating safer learning environments through readiness, teamwork, and collective action.

🇵🇭 SECURING PEACE. PROTECTING THE PEOPLE. SERVING THE NATION.

From 12–15 September 2026, the 23rd Mechanized Infantry (EXPLORER) Company, with the support of officers and personnel from the 6th Infantry (REDSKIN) Battalion, led by 1LT ROY MANUEL A. PELIJO (ARM) PA, Commanding Officer, and under the supervision of LTC RAUL P. ESCAT ARM (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, 2nd Mechanized Infantry (MAKASAG) Battalion, conducted security operations in support of the 2026 BARMM Parliamentary Election.

Security operations covered five (5) barangays in Sultan sa Barongis, General Salipada K. Pendatun, and Paglat, all in Maguindanao del Sur. Personnel were strategically deployed at polling centers, while Quick Reaction Forces (QRFs) were prepositioned in key areas to ensure timely response to any security concerns.

Through sustained presence, coordination, and vigilance, the unit provided security before, during, and after the election, helping create a safe and peaceful environment for voters, election personnel, and the community.

The successful conduct of the operation, with zero recorded security incidents within the AO, reflects the collective commitment of the security forces and stakeholders to maintaining peace, order, and stability throughout the electoral period.

The 23rd Mechanized Infantry (Explorer) Company under the leadership of CPT MARK JERUSALEM R DEVEZA (ARM) PA, Commanding Officer of this unit, actively participated in the Islamic Symposium in Commemoration of Al-isra Wal-miraj on 20 January 2026 with key leaders of the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) NASCOM, namely Sheikh Mohamad Parid Solaiman Adas, MNLF Middle East Spokesperson; Rolly Karun, MNLF Deputy Foreign Minister; Ebrahim D Andamen, MNLF National Striking Force Chief; and Datu Cons S Kulod, Commander 3rd Bde, NASCOM, MNLF at Headquarters Camp Kulod Bagui-Bagui Barangay Udtong, Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat.

The engagement served as a significant step toward strengthening cooperation, trust and mutual understanding between government forces and MNLF on support of sustained peace, security, and development initiatives within the area.

During the Islamic Symposium, both parties discussed key issues affecting peace and security, including community stability, conflict prevention, and the importance of collaborative efforts in maintaining harmony within local communities. Emphasis was placed on open communication, mutual respect, and shared responsibility in addressing security concerns and promoting inclusive and sustainable development.
