June 1, 2026 — The Municipal Government of Patikul, under the leadership of Honorable Mayor Kabir E. Hayudini, together with the Sangguniang Bayan of Patikul, BLGU Umangay, MENRE, RHU Patikul, and MPS Patikul, conducted a joint environmental compliance inspection and monitoring activity of business establishments in Barangay Umangay.

The activity aimed to ensure that establishments have valid business permits and maintain proper sanitation and cleanliness standards. Business owners were reminded to secure the necessary permits and keep their establishments clean and orderly to help promote a safe and healthy community.

This initiative reflects the Municipal Government’s commitment to responsible business operations, public health, and environmental cleanliness.

The Municipality of Patikul, under the leadership of Mayor Kabir E. Hayudini, successfully conducted an Incident Command System (ICS) Level II Integrated Planning Course on May 25, 26, 28, 29, and 30, 2026.

This vital capacity-building program concluded with 33 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐂𝐒 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐈𝐈 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬, who are now better equipped to handle emergency response planning.The training was made possible through a collaborative partnership with the 11th Infantry Division (11ID), the 1103rd Brigade, the 35th Infantry Battalion (35IB), and the Office of Civil Defense Region IX (OCD-IX).

The intensive course was spearheaded by a pool of experienced cadres:

The new graduates include dedicated personnel from LGU-Patikul, RHU-Patikul, MILG-Sulu, CGS Western Sulu, 1103rd Brigade PA, 35IB PA, BFP-Patikul, PLGU-Sulu, and LGU-Talipao.

This joint effort highlights the continuous commitment of local leaders and uniformed services to strengthen disaster management and emergency response cooperation within the province.

TAGLIBI, PATIKUL, SULU – Strengthening its commitment to grassroots governance, the Municipal Government of Patikul, led by 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐫 𝐄. 𝐇𝐚𝐲𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐢, successfully conducted the “𝐔𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐚 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲” and “𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐛𝐢𝐬𝐲𝐨 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐧” through RCSP on 𝐌𝐚𝐲 7, 2026, 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐢𝐛𝐢.

The event, a key part of the government’s efforts to bring regional authorities closer to the people, aimed to deliver essential services directly to the community while identifying long-term development needs.

The program commenced with the official Acknowledgement of Participants led by 𝐌r𝐬. 𝐌𝐮𝐝𝐳𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐌. 𝐉𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐢𝐥, the Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) of Patikul. Her introduction highlighted the diverse assembly of stakeholders present, including representatives from the fisherfolks and farmers' sector, women’s groups, youth, and senior citizens, whose active participation is vital to the success of the local consultation process.

Following the acknowledgement, 𝐇𝐨𝐧. 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐮 𝐀𝐣𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐡𝐣𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐈𝐈, Punong Barangay of Igasan, delivered the Welcome Remarks. In his message, he expressed profound appreciation for the inter-agency cooperation that made the caravan possible, noting that such initiatives are crucial for strengthening public safety and responsive governance within the community. He emphasized that bringing government services directly to the barangay level fosters trust and inclusive development for all residents

𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐫 𝐄. 𝐇𝐚𝐲𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐢 then followed with his message, reaffirming the LGU’s dedication to providing immediate relief and sustainable development to priority areas. The presence of high-ranking military and regional officials further underscored the "whole-of-nation" approach to local peace and community welfare.

Representing 𝐌𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨 𝐈. 𝐏𝐞ñ𝐚, Commander of the 11th Infantry “Alakdan” Division, was Col Abdelhalim H. Sakilan GSC (MI) PA, Deputy Commander, 1103rd Bde, who delivered an inspirational message on behalf of the division.
