𝗠𝗔𝗗𝗔𝗖 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗜𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 "𝗕𝗢𝗟𝗔 𝗞𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗥𝗔 𝗗𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗔" 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗟𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗴

The Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) successfully launched its first-ever "BOLA KONTRA DROGA" on July 11, 2026, at Barangay Lambontong, Surallah, South Cotabato. The activity aimed to promote sports as a positive avenue for youth development and strengthen community involvement in the fight against illegal drugs.

The initiative highlighted the importance of engaging the youth in meaningful and healthy activities that encourage teamwork, discipline, camaraderie, and responsible decision-making—values that help steer them away from the dangers of illegal drug use.

The launching was also graced by the presence of the Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC), represented by Ms. Princess Izra Griño on behalf of the PADAC Secretariat Head, Ms. Sonia L. Bautista, RSW, MPA, MTRM. Her participation underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in promoting sports and community engagement as effective approaches in preventing drug abuse among the youth.

The activity served as a platform to reinforce the municipality's commitment to creating a safe, healthy, and drug-free environment by empowering young people to become active advocates of positive change within their communities.

Through sports and community participation, the event emphasized that preventing drug abuse is a shared responsibility and that the youth play a vital role in building peaceful and resilient communities.

The Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC), Barangay Lambontong officials, participating teams, youth leaders, and all partners who contributed to the success of this meaningful initiative. The Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC), in partnership with the Municipal Police Station (MPS), conducted a Drug Awareness Symposium on July 10, 2026, at Laureano Escovida Integrated School. The activity aimed to educate the youth on the dangers of illegal drugs and the importance of making responsible life choices.

The symposium served as an avenue to strengthen the municipality's campaign against illegal drugs by providing participants with valuable information on drug prevention, the harmful effects of substance abuse, and the vital role of young people in promoting a safe and drug-free community.

Mr. Romar O. De Jesus, MADAC Focal Person, encouraged the participants to become active partners in the government's anti-drug advocacy by staying informed, making healthy decisions, and actively participating in community initiatives that foster peace and development.

The activity also featured an interactive discussion where participants were given the opportunity to raise questions and share their insights on drug-related issues affecting today's generation.

In addition, MADAC distributed informational flyers to the parents present during the symposium to further strengthen awareness and encourage family involvement in drug prevention efforts. The distribution of advocacy materials highlighted the important role of parents in guiding and protecting their children from the dangers of illegal drugs.

Through continuous collaboration with barangays, schools, and youth organizations, the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council remains steadfast in implementing programs that promote awareness, prevention, and community involvement in the fight against illegal drugs—reinforcing the shared commitment to building a healthier, safer, and drug-free municipality.

The Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) actively participated in the Leadership Training Capability and Empowerment of Children and Youth conducted by the Municipal Council for the Protection of Children (MCPC). Through its Drug Abuse Prevention Education (DAPE) initiative, MADAC supported the activity in promoting leadership development, responsible decision-making, and drug abuse prevention among children and youth.

The training provided participants with opportunities to strengthen their leadership skills, build self-confidence, and develop a deeper understanding of their role in promoting positive values and healthy, drug-free lifestyles within their schools and communities. Interactive sessions and collaborative activities encouraged the youth to become active advocates for community development and responsible citizenship.

MADAC remains committed to partnering with the Municipal Council for the Protection of Children and other stakeholders in implementing programs that empower children and youth. By supporting leadership development and drug abuse prevention education, the council continues to contribute to building a safer, healthier, and more resilient community.

MADAC Distributes Anti-Illegal Drug Information Leaflets to Learners at Libertad National High School

In its continuing commitment to strengthening preventive education and promoting a drug-free community, the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) of the Local Government Unit of Surallah conducted an Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaign through the distribution of anti-illegal drug awareness leaflets to learners of Libertad National High School.

The initiative aimed to educate students on the harmful effects of illegal drugs and the importance of making informed and responsible decisions. The distributed leaflets contained essential information on the physical, psychological, social, and legal consequences of drug abuse, while encouraging learners to embrace healthy lifestyles, develop resilience against peer pressure, and become active advocates in the fight against illegal drugs.

The activity forms part of MADAC's sustained efforts to intensify drug prevention education among the youth, recognizing schools as strategic partners in building awareness and fostering positive values. Through collaboration with school administrators, teachers, and student leaders, the campaign reinforced the shared responsibility of protecting young people from the dangers of substance abuse.

Ang Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) ay buong pusong nakikiisa sa pagdiriwang ng Nutrition Month 2026 na may temang:

"Sa PPAN: Sama-Sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat"
Sub-theme: "Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Alagaan, Pahalagahan para sa Kinabukasan."

Naniniwala ang MADAC na ang wastong nutrisyon ay isa sa mga mahalagang pundasyon ng isang malusog, matatag, at produktibong pamayanan. Ang pagkakaroon ng sapat at masustansyang pagkain, kasabay ng pangangalaga sa ating kalikasan, ay nakatutulong sa paghubog ng mga indibidwal na may malusog na pangangatawan at matatag na kaisipan—mga katangiang mahalaga sa pagbuo ng isang drug-free, healthy, at resilient na komunidad.

Sama-sama nating isulong ang tamang nutrisyon, pangalagaan ang ating kapaligiran, at palakasin ang ating kampanya para sa isang ligtas, malusog, at maunlad na Surallah.

MADAC Participates in Municipal BKD Federation Election of Officers

The Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) reaffirmed its commitment to youth empowerment and drug prevention by participating in the Municipal Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) Federation Election of Officers held on June 30, 2026, at Libertad National High School.

Representing MADAC were Focal Person Romar De Jesus and Ms. Krysthal Jade Maganto, who attended the activity in support of the Department of Education's initiative to strengthen youth leadership and promote a drug-free learning environment through the Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) Program.

The election gathered student leaders from participating schools across the municipality to democratically select the new set of Municipal BKD Federation officers. The activity aimed to foster leadership, encourage volunteerism, and empower students to become active advocates in promoting drug abuse prevention and healthy lifestyles among their peers.

MADAC recognized the importance of the BKD Program as a platform for developing responsible student leaders who will champion anti-drug advocacy and inspire fellow youth to make positive life choices.

The Municipal Government, through MADAC, remains committed to collaborating with the Department of Education and partner institutions in implementing programs that strengthen youth participation and advance the shared vision of creating safe, healthy, and drug-free schools and communities.

MADAC Strengthens Anti-Drug Advocacy During KK Assembly in Barangay Moloy

As part of its continuing commitment to promoting a drug-free community, the Municipal Anti-Drug Abuse Council (MADAC) participated in the Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) Assembly conducted by the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Council of Barangay Moloy on June 30, 2026.

The activity, led by SK Chairperson Hon. Rustom Allido, gathered the youth of Barangay Moloy to discuss programs and initiatives that encourage active citizenship, responsible leadership, and community involvement.

During the assembly, MADAC Focal Person Romar De Jesus facilitated the Drug Abuse Prevention Education (DAPE) Program, emphasizing the dangers of illegal drugs, the importance of making informed and responsible choices, and the vital role of the youth in preventing substance abuse within their communities.

The information session reinforced the campaign theme, "Bida ang Kabataang Ayaw sa Droga," encouraging young people to become positive role models and advocates of healthy, productive, and drug-free lifestyles.

The Municipal Government, through MADAC, remains steadfast in strengthening partnerships with barangay officials and the Sangguniang Kabataan in implementing community-based drug prevention programs.
