Del Carmen MPS Conducts Shooting Incident Simulation Exercise at Del Carmen National High School

DEL CARMEN, Surigao del Norte | July 24, 2026 — The Del Carmen Municipal Police Station (MPS) successfully conducted Shooting Incident Simulation Exercise today at Del Carmen National High School as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen emergency preparedness and promote campus safety.

The simulation was led by PEMS Jesus E. Belarmino, MESPO, together with personnel from the Del Carmen MPS, in coordination with the school administration. The exercise provided students and teachers with practical experience in responding to potential security threats, emphasizing proper evacuation procedures, communication protocols, and coordinated emergency response.

Through this initiative, the Del Carmen MPS reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a culture of preparedness and resilience, ensuring that schools remain safe learning environments while enhancing the readiness of both law enforcement and the school community in times of crisis.

The Municipality of Del Carmen officially commenced the 391st Annual Fiesta Celebration in honor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel through a vibrant Grand Opening Ceremony with the theme, "Birhen Del Carmen: Paglaum sa Synodal nga Simbahan". The event gathered local officials, community members, visitors, and various stakeholders in a joyful celebration of faith, culture, and unity.

The opening ceremony featured festive performances, cultural presentations from different schools, and meaningful activities that marked the beginning of the town's much-awaited annual celebration, honoring the patroness, Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The festivities continue with a series of religious and civic events that reflect Del Carmen's rich heritage, unwavering devotion, and strong sense of community.

DEL CARMEN, Surigao del Norte — Del Carmen National High School successfully conducted the Day 1 Pretest for the Blended Learning implementation, with students participating in the assessment using digital devices under the supervision of teachers and school personnel. The activity aimed to assess students' readiness and ensure the effective rollout of the program.

Schools Division Superintendent Manuel O. Caberte visited the school to personally monitor the conduct of the pretest and ensure the smooth flow of the assessment. His visit underscored the Schools Division Office's commitment to supporting schools in delivering quality, technology-enhanced education.

Del Carmen NHS Strengthens Home-School Partnership Through 1ST SPTA General Assembly and HRPTA Meeting

The School Parents-Teachers Association (SPTA) of Del Carmen National High School successfully conducted its 1st General Assembly and Homeroom PTA Meeting for School Year 2026–2027, bringing together parents, guardians, teachers, and school leaders in a shared commitment to quality education and student success.

The gathering served as an avenue to discuss important school programs, activities, and upcoming initiatives designed to support learners' academic growth and holistic development. It also provided an opportunity for stakeholders to exchange ideas and strengthen their collective role in shaping a positive learning environment.

In her message, School Principal IV, Virgincita A. Gorgonio underscored the significance of partnership and collaboration among parents, teachers, and the school community. She emphasized that education is a shared responsibility and that the active involvement of parents plays a vital role in helping learners achieve their full potential. She further encouraged stakeholders to work hand in hand in promoting a culture of excellence, accountability, and mutual support.

Likewise, SPTA President Paul G. Pobe expressed his gratitude to the parents and guardians for their presence and participation, stressing that their continued support is essential in the successful implementation of school programs and projects.

𝗗𝗲𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 students are currently participating in an 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗯𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 and 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝘆𝗴𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 with our guest speaker, 𝗦𝗶𝗿 𝗠𝗶kko M. 𝗟𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘁.

This activity aims to equip learners with the 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 and 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 needed to become 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗻𝘀 by promoting 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲, 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗳𝘂𝗹, and 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗿.
