Survey of the Proposed New Diversion Road

This morning, Punong Barangay Armando Dodong Arizobal , together with our beloved Mayor Philip Arreza Pichay, conducted a survey of the proposed new diversion road connecting Purok 5A of Sitio Tapa to Purok 2 of Barangay San Pedro.

The proposed road aims to improve accessibility, provide a more convenient route for residents, and support the development and connectivity of the community. The Barangay Council of San Pedro sincerely appreciates Mayor Pichay for his continued support and commitment to projects that will benefit the people of Barangay San Pedro.

🌿 Inter-Purok Clean and Green Contest – Barangay San Pedro 🌿

Barangay San Pedro successfully conducted the Inter-Purok Clean and Green Contest last September4, 2026, showcasing the cleanliness, creativity, unity, and strong spirit of bayanihan among our puroks.

The Barangay Council, led by Punong Barangay Armando Dodong Arizobal , extends its warmest congratulations and heartfelt appreciation to all the Purok Advisers, Presidents, Officers, and members for their cooperation, dedication, and teamwork.

We also extend our sincere gratitude to our BHWs, Barangay Staff, the Board of Judges from the different local agencies, and to everyone who worked hand in hand and shared their time, effort, and support to make this activity a success.

Your collective efforts have made Barangay San Pedro cleaner, greener, more beautiful, and more progressive. More than a competition, this activity reflects the power of unity and bayanihan. COASTAL CLEAN-UP DRIVE | AUGUST 29, 2026

This morning, August 29, 2026, the Barangay Council of San Pedro, led by Punong Barangay Armando Dodong Arizobal , together with the same dedicated participants and volunteers, conducted our regular coastal clean-up drive.

The activity reflects our continued commitment to keeping our shoreline clean, safe, and environmentally friendly. Through teamwork and bayanihan, we continue to promote cleanliness and encourage everyone to take part in protecting our coastal environment.

Thank you to everyone who generously shared their time and effort for this meaningful activity. Together, let us keep San Pedro clean and beautiful! 🌊🧹💚

Today, August 27, 2026, the different Punong Barangays of Cantilan, together with the LGU Cantilan led by Mayor Philip Arreza Pichay, DILG, and PDEA representatives, attended the Preparation and Initial Validation of BDCP Folders for Drug-Cleared Barangay Application held at the Tourism Building, Magosilom, Cantilan, Surigao del Sur.

Barangay San Pedro was represented by Punong Barangay Armando Dodong Arizobal and Barangay Secretary Mr. Trizares Niño . The activity aimed to ensure the proper preparation and validation of the necessary documents and requirements for the drug-cleared barangay application.

The activity also strengthened the partnership among the barangays, LGU, DILG, and PDEA in promoting safe, peaceful, and drug-free communities.

Another grass fire broke out in Purok 3, Barangay San Pedro Cantilan, Surigao del Sur. Thankfully, the situation was immediately responded to and brought under control before it could cause further damage.

The Barangay Council, led by Punong Barangay Armando “ Dodong Arizobal , extends its heartfelt gratitude to the BFP Cantilan, led by Sir Primo Allelu Ortigas, for their quick response and prompt action. Thank you also to the volunteers who helped in preventing the fire from spreading.

Let us continue to stay alert and practice fire safety, especially during this hot and dry season.

𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬

On July 26, 2026, the Sangguniang Barangay officials of San Pedro, led by Hon. Armando I. Arizobal, Punong Barangay, distributed the educational assistance to five deserving students under the Presidential Scholarship component of the Bawat Barangay Makikinabang Program.

The program provides ₱20,000 in educational assistance to each selected scholar, with five scholars benefiting from every barangay. It aims to help deserving students continue their college education and ease the financial burden of pursuing their studies.

The selection followed a fair and transparent process, beginning with the posting of an online application form, followed by the screening and evaluation of applications, and then a draw to determine the five scholars. The drawing was livestreamed on the official page of Barangay San Pedro, allowing our constituents to witness the selection process.

Bayanihan sa Purok 5A

The residents of Purok 5A once again showed the true spirit of bayanihan as they worked together in repairing their footbridge. Their teamwork, unity, and willingness to volunteer their time and effort demonstrate the strength of a community that cares for one another.

We sincerely acknowledge Punong Barangay Armando Dodong Arizobal for his positive action and continued support for the needs of our community.
