On June 19, 2025, Balaoa Elementary School actively participated in the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) alongside Balaoa National High School. The activity aimed to strengthen preparedness and ensure proper response during earthquake scenarios.

The drill was conducted in coordination with the Barangay Officials and Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) of Balaoa, who played a vital role in reinforcing community-based disaster readiness. At exactly 9:00 AM, the alarm signal was sounded, prompting learners, teachers, and staff to perform the "Duck, Cover, and Hold" technique followed by an organized evacuation to the designated open area.

The successful conduct of the drill demonstrated the unity of the schools and local stakeholders in promoting safety awareness and disaster preparedness in the community.

Welcome Back, Balaoa Learners!

The opening of classes at Balaoa Elementary School and Balaoa National High School was filled with warmth, excitement, and hope. As our learners returned, we made sure they felt one important thing—that school is home. As stressed by the School Head Ms. Diary A. Tambiac, a school should be a place where learners feel that they are safe, supported, and celebrated.
We express our gratitude to our generous stakeholders who made this opening even more meaningful:

Severino Wacan Cuison and The Lions Club Baguio Family – for the snacks given this first day of school, school supplies shared with Summer Camp participants and the bags distributed to selected beneficiaries.
Ma'am Fern P. Gullod – for your unwavering support to Nikisha Pucay. Your generosity inspires us all.

Oplan Balik Eskwela Monitoring was also conducted on Day 1 of the School Year 2025-2026.

Indeed, it takes a village to raise a child—and schools thrive through the strong and enduring support of partners like you.

Hail, oh hail Balaoa!
From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU❣️
