Severe Tropical Storm (STS) "PAOLO" slightly intensifies and is about to make landfall in Northern Aurora-Southern Isabela area. βPAOLOβ is forecast to traverse over the Luzon landmass as a Severe Tropical Storm, although its further intensification into a typhoon prior to landfall is not ruled out. βPAOLOβ is forecast to move generally west-northwestward throughout the forecasting period and may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tomorrow morning. At present, it is bringing inclement weather conditions across large parts of Northern and Central Luzon, some parts of Bicol Region, and Quezon province, while its trough is bringing cloudy skies with a high probability of rain over the rest of Luzon, including Metro Manila, and Western Visayas.
Currently, no Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal is in effect over Metro Manila, including Taguig City. However, the periphery of STS βPAOLOβ will also bring strong to gale-force gusts over the City. In addition, as of 7:30 AM, a Rainfall Advisory was raised over Taguig City, in which the City may continue to experience light to moderate with occasional heavy rains within the next three hours.
Meanwhile, over the next 12 hours, the City may experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the trough of STS βPAOLOβ.
