The Holy Infant Community is a Catholic Christian Community that evolved from the Catholic Charismatic, a Renewal Movement that started in San Roque Parish, Mawab in the ten prelature of Tagum circa 1978. Sometimes in the middle of the 70s, a certain Maryknoll Father of Davao del Norte and Oriental Mission took his vacation in United States of America. Upon his returned to the diocese of Tagum, he

introduced the experience acquired while in the US to the priests and some leaders of the parishioners. He conducted various seminars and among those who attended the earlier seminars was Rev. Jose Augusto C. Sison, one of the Filipino priests ordained as a diocesan priest. The Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement then started in San Roque Parish, Mawab, Compostela Valley Province, in the prelature of Tagum circa in 1978. Sometimes in the year 1981, the lecturers of the Life in the Spirit Seminar in Mawab were invited to start the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Laak Parish, Laak, Compostela Valley Province.
