Maayong adlaw mga Amigo!
I am Uloy Ong, City Councilor of Tagum City, the Chairperson for the Committee on Trade, Commerce and Industries, also for the Economic Enterprises, and the Tourism, Sisterhood Ties and International Relations. I am also the Philippine Councilors League Business Manager for Davao del Norte Chapter and lastly, the Davao del Norte Provincial Vice Chairperson for the National Movement of Young Legislators.
Let me begin with this simple truth: When we take care of the coconut, we are not only taking care of a crop, we are taking care of families, communities, and the future of Davao del Norte.
To our hardworking coconut farmers and growers, our processors, entrepreneurs, industry partners, and all stakeholders, saludo kami kaninyo!
Behind every coconut tree is a story of hard work, patience, sacrifice, and hope. Every fruit that you harvest represents food on the table, education for our children, and a better future for our families.
Mao nga ang tema karon nga โNagkakaisa sa Yaman, Oportunidad, Gawa at Kaunlaran sa Kaniyogan ng Davao del Norteโ is more than just a theme. It is a call to action.
Nagkakaisa sa Yaman - because the coconut industry is one of our provinceโs great treasures. But our greatest wealth is not only found in the coconut itself. Our greatest wealth is the farmer who plants it, the worker who processes it, the entrepreneur who creates opportunities from it, and the community that grows together because of it.
Nagkakaisa sa Oportunidad - because there are so many possibilities waiting to be unlocked. From farming and processing, to value-adding, entrepreneurship, innovation and market development, the coconut industry can create more livelihoods and opportunities for our people.
Nagkakaisa sa Gawa - because progress does not happen by simply talking about possibilities. Kinahanglan gyud nato buhaton. We need cooperation, innovation, investment, and action.
And Nagkakaisa sa Kaunlaran - because development becomes meaningful when it reaches the ordinary farmer, the hardworking family, and every community that depends on the coconut industry.
As public servants, we have a responsibility to listen to our farmers, support their needs, create opportunities, and work together with all sectors of society.
But development is not the responsibility of government alone. It is a shared responsibility. Kung ang gobyerno, farmers, private sector, entrepreneurs, cooperatives, processors, and other stakeholders magtinabangay, walay imposible sa atong kaniyogan.
Let us continue to strengthen our partnerships.
Let us embrace new ideas and technologies while respecting the knowledge and experience of our farmers. And most importantly, let us make sure that the people who work hardest in this industry are also among those who benefit most from its growth.
To our coconut farmers, Ayaw kamo kawad-i og paglaum. Your work matters. Your sacrifices matter. And your contribution to our province matters. Every coconut tree that you plant today is a promise to your family, to your community, and to the next generation.
So let us continue planting not only coconut trees, but also hope, opportunity, unity, and a better future. Because when we stand together, ang gamay nga bunga mahimong dakong kauswagan.
And let us remember:
โAng kaniyogan dili lamang atong pananom, kini atong panginabuhian, atong panulondon, ug atong kaugmaon.โ
Together, let us make the coconut industry of Davao del Norte stronger, more sustainable, and more prosperous.

Magtinabangay ta. Naa mi diri. Naa ang inyong gobyerno. Katambayayong mi ninyo. Kay ug magtinabangay ug maguban ta, mas dali nato makabot ang mas gwapo, mas mulahutay, ug mas lambo na Tagum ug Davao del Norte.
Mabuhay kayong lahat, mabuhay ang probinsya ng Davao del Norte ug Tagum, mabuhay ka!
