Lanao del Sur leaders reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to peace and security during the ๐๐ผ๐ถ๐ป๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐บ๐ผ๐ป๐ถ๐ฎ๐น ๐ง๐๐ฟ๐ป-๐ข๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฆ๐บ๐ฎ๐น๐น ๐๐ฟ๐บ๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐ ๐ช๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ป๐ (๐ฆ๐๐๐ช) held at the Taraka Gymnasium on May 19, 2026, as part of the governmentโs continuing Normalization Process under the Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro.
โA total of 108 loose fi****ms were voluntarily surrendered by the municipalities of Tamparan, Taraka, Lumba-Bayabao, and Mulondoโdemonstrating the collective resolve of local government units, communities, and security sectors to strengthen peacebuilding efforts and uphold public safety across the Bangsamoro region. This milestone aligns directly with the priority agenda of BARMM Chief Minister Abdulraof "Sammy" Macacua, who has consistently placed peace and order at the forefront of his administration's vision for regional stability and development.
In his message of support, ๐๐ฒ๐ฝ๐๐๐ ๐ฆ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ธ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐๐๐. ๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ผ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป ๐จ. ๐ฆ๐๐บ๐ฎ๐ด๐ฎ๐๐ฎ๐ป emphasized that achieving lasting peace remains a fundamental legislative mandate under the Bangsamoro Organic Law. He underscored the importance of strong Intergovernmental Relations (IGR) mechanisms and sustained collaboration among national agencies, BARMM leadership, local government units, and the security sector in ensuring the success of the decommissioning and normalization process.
