May 28, 2024. Camp Aquino, Tarlac City – The 1st Maintenance Battalion, 1st Logistics Support Group, Army Support Command, Philippine Army under the leadership of Lieutenant Colonel JERRY M MAYONILA OS (GSC) PA conducted Gender Sensitivity Training for 2nd Quarter, Calendar Year 2024 attended by 36 organic personnel and newly Privates from the Command.

MAJOR SHEENA B BELLO (QMS) PA, Admin and GAD Officer welcomed the participants through an opening message and emphasized the importance of this training especially to the military organization mostly dominant with men.

Likewise, CPT MARY GRACE M ORDEN (OS) PA, Chief GAD Section, OG1, ASCOM, PA provided lecture to the attendees in order to raise awareness on gender issues, biases, violence and inequality. CPT ORDEN also provided updates on the struggles and legal battles against discrimination.

Lastly, LTC MAYONILA expressed gratitude to the invited guest lecturer for enlightening the troops and rest assured that this unit is compliant to the equality of men and women especially occupying key positions.

ASCOM Facility Tour of PMA “MADASIGON” Class of 2023
On 18 April 2023, the 1st Maintenance Battalion, 1LSG, ASCOM, PA hosted 160 graduating First Class Cadets of Philippine Military Academy during their facility tour at Maintenance Bays of this unit. This has been part of Command activity to further showcase the significance of logistics in Philippine Army operations. The activity headed by LTC JERRY M MAYONILA (OS) PA, the Commanding Officer welcomed the Cadets and were given by short unit briefing by Executive Officer, MAJ HOMER A MISANES (OS) PA. After which, MAJ SHEENA B BELLO (QMS) PA led the tour of PMA Cadets to the newly constructed Maintenance Bays and to further appreciate actual vehicle repair maintenance operations. Available Personnel went on to demonstrate engine repair, welding, auto-painting, and upholstery skills and entertained queries made by the Cadets.
The visiting Cadets is set to graduate on 21 May 2023. The activity ended with Cadets appreciating the crucial role of maintaining the serviceability of vehicles in sustaining the force.

1MBN CONDUCTED POULTRY AND LIVESTOCK SEMINAR (30 MARCH 2023)

The 1st Maintenance Battalion,1LSG, ASCOM,PA, spearhead by the S1 section with MAJ SHEENA B BELLO (QMS) PA,conducted a half -day seminar on Poultry and livestock, specifically on FREE-RANGE CHICKEN.
The said seminar is conducted as part of the unit's livelihood education program for its personnel. The seminar's goal is to give the participants basic knowledge on how to grow Free range chickens and the benefits of such poultry.
The guests instructors were from the Department of Agriculture Regional Office 3 headed by MR. Bjorn Quiambao. They introduced the different types of free range chickens grown here in the Philippines. They also discussed the economic benefits and potential income for raising free range chickens whether in the backyard or thru farming.
The unit recognized the instructors and gave them certificate of recognition at the closing of the seminar.

1MBN CONDUCTED FIRE SAFETY SEMINAR.(16 MARCH 2023)

Ang buwan ng Marso ay FIRE PREVENTION MONTH. Kaugnay nito ay nagsagawa ang 1MBn ng Fire Safety Seminar bilang pakikiisa dito at upang mabigyan ang bawat kasapi ng kaalaman sa mga pagiingat upang maiwasan ang sunog na sadyang mapaminsala.

Naging panauhing tagapagturo sa seminar ang Ilan s mga piling firefighters ng Tarlac City (San Isidro department) na Sina FO3 Veronica Ordillo, FO1 Bia Monique Riparep, FO1 Ramil Salmorin at FO1 Cindy Acosta.
Hindi Lang pag iwas sa sunog ang kanilang ibinahagi kundi Pati n rin ang paggamit ng mga Fire extinguishers at paggamit ng Fire hose.
Nagkaroon din ng maikling paligsahan sa pagsugpo g apoy upang matiyak ang pagkatuto ng mga participants sa nasabing seminar.
Ang seminar ay nag tapos sa pagkilala sa mga tagapagturo sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay ng Cetifcates of Recognition sa kanila, sa pangunguna ni LTC JERRY M MAYONILA OS(GSC) PA, 1MBn, Commanding Officer.

TRIM (Trauma Risk Management).

The 1st Maintenance Battalion, 1LSG, ASCOM hosted the conduct of Trauma Risk Management (TRiM) Activity on 15 March 2023. The event was facilitated by Office of the Chief, Nursing Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines Health Service Command-Northern Luzon based in Camp General Aquino, San Miguel, Tarlac City. Leading the activity is COLONEL ELAINE E NIVERA NC (GSC), the Chief, Nursing Service. She was assisted her staff 1LT DIOLET S NIÑALGA; 1LT PETER ROGENE L ESTEBAN NC, Ms Fe Ursua Civ HR and Ms Russele Febo Civ HR.
As part of the promotion of mental health wellness among Tagakumpini Troopers, the TRiM Activity aims to identify the early signs and symptoms of stress and assist those who require help and support who seek it and destigmatize the mental health issues. All troops led by its Commanding Officer, LTC JERRY M MAYONILA OS (GSC) PA actively participated the event.

CEREMONIAL HAND OVER OF PA ANNIVERSARY PACKAGE.
The 1st Maintenance Battalion, 1LSG, ASCOM, PA virtually participated in the simultaneous handover of anniversary packages to Army units in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao with Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. ROMEO S. BRAWNER Jr. on 14 March 2023.
In behalf of Lt. Gen. BRAWNER Jr., LTC JERRY M MAYONILA OS (GSC) PA led the distribution of anniversary package to the Personnel of 1MBn. In Lt. Gen. BRAWNER, Jr.’s remarks, he noted the sacrifices of the troops and expressed his profound gratitude through the handover of anniversary packages.
The ceremonial handover of package is one of the activities to commemorate the Philippine Army's 126th Founding Anniversary Celebration with the theme "Philippine Army@126: Strong, United, and Reliable."

1st Maintenance Battalion conducted 𝐂𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧-𝐔𝐩 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲. (March 11, 2023)

Some selected personnel of this unit led by MAJ MISANES, Ex-O of this unit together with the Faculty and Staff of Don Pepe Elementary School headed by MR ABEL SAPUNGAY, Principal, conducted Clean-Up Drive Activity at the said school premises, Brgy Cut Cut II, Tarlac City.

This activity is part of pre-disaster-related activities by encouraging the community to support our campaign in maintaining a clean environment and greener surroundings.

1st Maintenance Battalion participated in the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED).
09 MARCH 2023.
Ang 1MBn ay nakiisa sa National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) na isinagawa noong Marso 9, 2023 dakong Alas Dos ng hapon.
Ang layunin nito ay upang maihanda ang bawat kasapi ng 1MBn kapag ang Isang pagyanig ay sakaling dumating. Alam naman natin na ang Lindol ay hindi natin nalalaman Kung kailan darating o mangyayari kaya nararapat Lang na ito ay paghandaan.
