Congratulations to the 35 newly licensed TSUian Architects!

Tarlac State University registered an 87.50% passing rate among its first-time takers in the June 2026 Licensure Examination for Architects, per the result released by the Professional Regulation Commission tonight, June 26.

Meanwhile, TSU’s institutional passing rate is at 64.81% percent, compared to the national passing rate of 85.08%.

The Office of University Extension Services (OUES) warmly welcomes Dr. Niño B. Corpuz as the new Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension.

His appointment marks an important milestone as the University continues to strengthen its commitment to responsive and impactful extension programs. Through his leadership and dedication to public service, Dr. Corpuz is expected to further enhance community engagement initiatives, foster strategic partnerships, and support programs that contribute to inclusive and sustainable development.

OUES looks forward to working under his guidance in advancing community-based interventions, capacity-building activities, and outreach programs that create meaningful and lasting benefits for various stakeholders.

The OUES extends its heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Dr. Corpuz as he begins this new chapter of leadership and service. As we commemorate this historic occasion, let us continue to uphold the values of patriotism, unity, and service while working together toward a stronger and brighter future for our nation. The College of Architecture and Fine Arts (CAFA) commenced the month of June with a series of coordination meetings, site assessments, and partnership planning activities with various beneficiary schools, including San Miguel Central Elementary School, Matatalaib High School, and Calingcuan Elementary School.

The extension travel aimed to establish and strengthen partnerships with the identified institutions through the discussion of proposed extension initiatives. Key matters addressed during the meetings included the identification of project needs, determination of the scope of services, and the preparation of partnership agreements to ensure the successful implementation of future extension programs and projects.

The site assessments provided the Extension Service Providers (ESPs) with the opportunity to evaluate existing conditions and gather relevant information necessary for developing responsive and sustainable interventions tailored to the needs of each beneficiary school.

These activities were conducted in conjunction with the Department of Education's Brigada Eskwela 2026, reflecting CAFA's commitment to supporting educational institutions through community engagement, collaborative planning, and the provision of technical expertise. Through these efforts, the college continues to uphold its mission of extending meaningful services that contribute to the development and improvement of learning environments within the community.

The Tarlac State University (TSU) – College of Architecture and Fine Arts (CAFA) was formally recognized by the Municipality of Camiling through a Plaque of Appreciation awarded during its first-ever Maria Clara Festival ceremony held on May 8, 2026 at the Maria Clara Auditorium in Camiling, Tarlac.

The recognition was conferred in acknowledgment of the college’s valuable contribution through its extension service project titled “Detailed Architectural Design (DAD) with Bill of Materials (BOM) for the Rehabilitation of the Camiling Public Plaza.” The project aimed to support the municipality’s efforts in improving and revitalizing one of its significant public spaces, reflecting both cultural heritage and community development.

Through the initiative, TSU-CAFA provided professional architectural planning and technical assistance essential to the proposed rehabilitation of the public plaza. The project highlighted the institution’s commitment to community engagement by extending academic expertise beyond the classroom and into public service.

The plaque also recognized the dedication, creativity, and collaborative efforts demonstrated by the college in strengthening partnerships with the local government and contributing to meaningful community development projects. The award serves as a testament to the continuing role of higher education institutions in promoting sustainable and people-centered initiatives within local communities.

The recognition further reinforces TSU-CAFA’s mission of combining academic excellence with social responsibility through impactful extension services that benefit both the institution and the community it serves.

The TSU Office of University Extension Services (OUES) warmly welcomes Dr. Jasper Jay N. Mendoza as the newly elected president of Tarlac State University.

Dr. Mendoza officially took his oath on May 5, 2026, at the Commission on Higher Education, becoming the university’s seventh president. Prior to this, he served as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the College of Education.

His leadership will focus on the “DALAN” framework, aiming to develop future-ready professionals through quality instruction, research, extension, and innovation. His plans also include improving campus infrastructure, strengthening student services, and expanding community and development programs.

Dr. Mendoza will serve as TSU President from 2026 to 2030.
