TARLAC CITY – City Local Government Operations Officer (CLGOO) Precious Ava E. Guevarra of the DILG Tarlac City Field Office served as the guest speaker during the Katatagan, Kalusugan at Damayan sa Komunidad (KKDK) Batch 33 & 34 Graduation and Batch 35 & 36 Opening Ceremony held on July 21, 2026 at the Tarlac City Jail – Male Dormitory, Barangay Baras-Baras, Tarlac City.

The activity recognized Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) who successfully completed the KKDK Program and welcomed a new batch of participants. The program helps PDLs build self-discipline, improve their mental and emotional well-being, and prepare them for a productive life after their release.

In her message, CLGOO Guevarra encouraged the participants to continue making positive changes in their lives and to become responsible members of their families and communities. She also emphasized the importance of staying away from illegal drugs and helping promote a peaceful and drug-free community.

The DILG Tarlac City Field Office participated in the Solid Waste Management Board Meeting on July 20, 2026, at the Bulwagan, Tarlac City Hall, led by the City Government of Tarlac.

During the meeting, LGOO VI Precious Ava E. Guevarra, En.P. encouraged barangay officials to actively support environmental programs and maintain clean, healthy communities. LGOO III Denver S. Yumul also oriented barangay officials on the Barangay Environment Compliance Audit (BECA), emphasizing the audit indicators and the barangays' roles in promoting environmental compliance and effective solid waste management.

TARLAC CITY, July 14, 2026 – DILG Tarlac City Field Office, in coordination with the City Government of Tarlac and the officials of Barangay San Rafael, conducted road clearing operations in various sitios of Barangay San Rafael this morning.

The activity aimed to remove road obstructions and ensure the safe and smooth flow of traffic. Similar road clearing operations will continue in other barangays across Tarlac City as part of the City's ongoing efforts to keep public roads safe, accessible, and obstruction-free.

DILG Tarlac’s New Provincial Director Strengthens Ties with Tarlac City Mayor

Tarlac City – DILG Tarlac Provincial Director Zotico Gerson A. Villanueva, Jr., CESE, recently paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Susan A. Yap, Mayor of Tarlac City, on February 11, 2026.

During the visit, PD Villanueva and Mayor Yap discussed strategic initiatives to enhance local governance, including the implementation of community safety programs, the Seal of Good Local Governance, and improvements in local government operations. They also explored collaborative efforts to enhance barangay services and address local concerns. Both leaders emphasized the importance of strong coordination and regular communication to ensure the success of their joint initiatives.

It is worth noting that Director Villanueva is the newly appointed Provincial Director, succeeding the retired Director Moral.

DILG Tarlac City Office Joins Barangay General Assembly to Strengthen Community Governance

Tarlac City, February 10, 2026 — The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Tarlac City Field Office, led by LGOO VI Precious Ava E. Guevarra, En.P., along with LGOO II Denver S. Yumul, actively participated in the Barangay General Assembly at the SP Session Hall, Tarlac City.

This monthly gathering brought together all Punong Barangays of Tarlac City to discuss pressing community issues, set shared priorities, and boost cooperation with partner agencies. It also served as an opportunity to strengthen ties between the barangays, the DILG, and the Liga ng mga Barangay — reaffirming their joint commitment to building responsive, effective, and inclusive local governance for all residents.
