BENCHMARKING VISIT | December 20, 2025

A Benchmarking visit at PhilSEED Farm located in Brgy. Gomotoc, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay, on December 20, 2025. The visit aimed to gain insights on sustainable agricultural practices, farm management systems, and community-based farming models that may be adopted to strengthen eco-farming initiatives in Capiz.

Grateful and honored to be part of the Western Visayas Regional Information Summit Year-End Conference held on December 18, 2025, in Bacolod City.

It is truly fulfilling to see the Local Government Unit of Maayon, under the leadership of Mayor Raymond D. Malapajo, recognized by PIA Western Visayas as one of the LGUs that successfully organized the Barangay Information Outreach Network (BION) earlier this year. This recognition reflects the collective effort, dedication, and teamwork of everyone involved.

My sincere thanks to DILG Maayon, under the leadership of Ma’am Rhea Samara Cortes Bulquerin, and Liga President Ramil Malapajo, for the constant guidance and support during the organizing phase.

To the 32 Barangays of Maayon, led by our hardworking Barangay Captains and Secretaries—madamo gid nga salamat sa inyo tanan.

To MDRRMO Maayon, headed by Engr. Victoria Graellos Dampog, LDRRMO III, thank you for always being supportive in every activity.

And to our IT Unit, especially Sir Ronald Española Daradar, thank you for your dedication in timely posting and sharing our LGU programs and activities.

Two significant activities were successfully conducted on December 15, 2025:

1️⃣ Orientation on the Functionality Audit Assessment (FAA) for CY 2026, participated in by representatives from the 32 Barangays of Maayon, in partnership with the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).

2️⃣ Closing Program of the Two-Week Work Immersion of students from Florentina Degala National High School, recognizing their dedication and contributions during their stay with the office.

These activities highlight our continued commitment to strengthening barangay governance and supporting youth development through practical learning experiences.

Sharing one of the LGU Best practices on Climate Change initiatives with the MDRRMO PERSONNEL from LGU Paracelis Mt. Province, LGU Busuanga Palawan, LGU Rizal Palawan, and LGU Dagami Leyte during our Training on DRRM Strategies on Climate Change and Database Creation and Management at Vigan Ilocos Sur last November 2025.
